Not that I do not love my lovelies... But I sometimes wish I never had to stress over them in the first place. Dreamies are a must have in your town once you see that perfect one.

Then there's people like my best friend. She cares for every villager equally no matter who moves in. Where in my case I would scream for one to move in order to get that spot open for a new coming dreamie. My friend just happily chats it up with Henry, or Bubbles, or whoever. She does have some popular villagers such as Marshal (My old Marshal from a TT accident), and Chief.. But she sees them as valuable as any other.

Makes me feel silly for always stressing out over a game sometimes.

Anyone else feel this way? Or anyone like my friend, and you don't care much for who moves in?

Me too.. I think about my dreamies so much, that I stay up all night to see if someone is giving them away. There were 2 days where I didn't sleep for the whole night o-o

Once i achieved my dream town it got stale to be honest. I have let them all go and am on a new quest to meet all 333 villagers. Its been freeing. No need to maintain and prevent moves. Its easy for me because i am not that into landscaping. I have no paths, etc. so moving villagers dont bother me that much

Allow me to give you a medal :<

Before I actually made an account on TBT, I never knew about 'Marshal', 'Merengue', 'Julian', 'Beau' and etc.
When I did make an account here, I checked out the Villager Trading Plaza and saw all of these popular 'Dreamies'. I guess I started to devote my town to become my own 'Dreamie' town. Getting rid of 'unwanted' villagers and spending millions of Bells on 'Dreamies', and falling into despair when I lost my bby Chrissy (gonna get that lil rabbit back. Francine feels lonely without her :c...)
Missing out on a giveaway of one of your Dreamies probably just drives you crazy since you juuuuust missed out, or getting outbid, not enough Bells and so forth.

...
yolo

Haha yeah I'm like that, I don't really care for who moves in. I treat every villager the same. :>
Before I joined TBT, I never really knew Beau, Stitches, or Marshal or whoever was popular.

Dreamies are a very loose term for me!

I'm taking whatever villagers I see that I really love. e.g. when there's a giveaway, I'll look them up, and if I think they're adorable while camping, I take them. I do have "dreamies" from just browsing around (zucker for instance) who I adore and would love to have, and prefer to have if given a on the spot choice, but considering I'm the type of person who frowns a bit even when villagers I dislike tell me they're moving, I just like everyone equally in my town. They're all my precious babies oh my god.

Pretty sure none of the peeps in my town are an original "dreamie" of mine due to this haha 8'D but they're all so adorable I'm having trouble letting them go. Even though I know I really want some villagers for sake of theme. aaa

I do also admit I have a weird strong love for Fang since he decided to pop in my tent. Like fangirl proportions over an anthropomorphic wolf wat

I used to have dreamies, and there are still villagers I would love to have in my town, like Walker and Rowan, but I would really be happy with any kind of villager :) I'm making it my goal to have a town of underapreciated villagers like Curt, Rod,Samson and Axel :) Sometimes I really dislike the villager who will be moving in but I will awlays try and work with them! For example: I hated hated HATED Rory the lion when I started my town and he was in my original five, but now, he is one of my favourite villagers of all time!

I definitely became more villager-aware when I got to this site, but I do think I came by my love for certain villagers honestly. Fauna was the first villager I ever saw outside of the ones who just randomly moved into my town. She was my first camper when I didn't even know what the campsite was, and I fell in love with her instantly. Skye and Mallary were in my friend's town, which was maybe the first outside town I ever visited. And, I was in someone else's town to pick up another villager, when I saw a cute little blue cat. I looked her up and it was Lolly, whom I had to have.

Guys like Stitches and Zucker, I more took them in from the campsite because they were popular. But, I really like them.

I've had dreamies ever since WW.. Joey was always that one villager who kept moving and I always cycled through every single villager in the game to get him back.. I missed him so much but it was always fun seeing who was moving in next :)

For NL, before I even came to TBT I made my dream team, the villagers I've wanted since the start of NL after seeing some villager pics.. I think even without learning about dreamies I would still have them.. I think I'm naturally drawn to having them

I'm one of those who had never heard the term Dreamie until joining this board. Now I'm more aware of what's out there but pretty much take what comes along naturally and deal with it. After meeting campers, working in coffee shop, and seeing others through hide and seek game on island, I think a lot of amazing villagers are being overlooked. But follow your dreams!

I'm pretty content with whomever moves into my town. The only villager I had to have was Tipper, but that's because I love cows. :3

The main reason for me having dreamies is because I really wanted to landscape my town (which is now complete<3) and didn't want to be plot resetting all the time for new villagers. Obviously, I also didn't want my landscape to be ruined by houses all the time. If I could, there would be so many other villagers that I'd like to come to my town for a bit but to avoid my hard work being messed up I just chose my favorites :3

I never knew what a dreamie was until I joined this site, and I still don't really understand it. Like, I don't get any preferences towards certain villagers because at the end of the day they're all the same, i.e all jock villagers tend to act the same and so on. The dialogue isn't much different. But I do admit I really like Nibbles and Sprinkles in my village so I don't think I'll be letting them go. :P

I had villagers I wanted before even getting the game. :P
Most of them were chosen before I started my first character, some changed because I found them in campsite and fell in love with them or they moved in by themselves.

Hmm Tangy & Vesta were dreamies coming into the game, due to me having them in the GC one and Vesta in WW
but i agree, i miss the more natural days where i would accept anyone
this is why its good me having 2 towns.. i have my dreamies in Parfait, all my foodies, but then in Azalea ill accept anyone :)

I'm a bit in between. I have villagers that I would absolutely love to have in my town. and every time a villager moves in and it's not one of them, I take care of them anyway! Unless they're ugly and rude. then I kinda push them out. but I think I'm picky when it comes to avoiding some animals in my town. Never really had a villager that I hated, but I've found some villagers in my campsite that I avoided lol

I find the game will be quickly bored if I only cares about letting move in and move out, not worrying about landscape or whatever happen in my game. After start landscaping I treasure my town even more and value each of my villager because I seriously don't want see Rover face again...not for resetting..

i first heard of the term "dreamie" on tumblr, before that i just called them "villagers i'd really like to have" haha... i still find dreamie a bit of a strange word... but anyway! jeremiah was a favorite since i played animal crossing on an emulator on my mac and he was one of my villagers there. daisy i loved since i saw her walking sometimes in the "city" in city folk. those two are still my number 1 and 2 favorites! i really loved dora, stitches, agent s, rasher & lobo in my wild world game, but i grow older and my tastes change so my favorite villagers change too. even now in the 6 months i've been playing new leaf, my dream team has changed a lot!

Dreamies are ok, but at the end of the day it fills too many town with marshals, merengues and julians. I like towns with more unique villager choices instead of hurrrr lvl 1 dreemies only

I agree with this. If I take "dreamies" seriously. I would of lost interest in the game since the start. I am looking towards the ransoms my friends drop off on me. I also look forward towards the ransoms I get from street pass.
This also means I won't cry if any of my deer left me. Except Lopez, he made me love him way too much!
