Ah, I hope it is alright to make a thread of a weird situation I had in Animal Crossing New Leaf, but I thought it was quite interesting and wanted to share it.

Anyway, I was plot resetting and got Punchy in an awesome place in my village. I was quite happy about that, because I really like how Punchy looked and was so happy to have a cat villager in my town again. But then this happened.

Day 1: Punchy put his plot down
Day 2: Punchy is in boxes
Day 3: I see Punchy outside and talk to him. After that, I went diving for a bit, came back and he pinged me telling me he wants to leave my town. :c

I was totally shocked, I had so many questions. But all I could think is that he must truly hate my village and me, while I did tell him to stay and he agreed, I feel totally disconnected with him now. This sounds so weird, but it just feels wrong having him after he obviously wanted out as soon as he came to my village.

I also thought it wasn't possible that the villager that moves in, can ping to move out. Also, I didn't know a villager would ping to move out a day after a villager moved in.

Has something weird like this happened to anybody else before? I would love to hear your stories about weird things that happened to you in ACNL!

It is very rare, but this actually just happened to me with Clay. I accidentally TTd him into boxes in my main town, and decided to move him to my cycling town until I decide if I want to cycle to get him back or not. The second day he was running around my town, he pinged to move. Sneaky *******.

That is really odd... I have never heard of that happening before! I also thought it wasn't possible for them to leave right after moving in, but who really knows? It seems possible but very unlikely I suppose.

I hope you don't try to let him leave though, as weird as the situation is I'm pretty sure it's just the rng in-game that decided to make Punchy the one to leave and not that he hates your town. I'm sure if you keep him around for a while the mood will change! :)

Never happened to me with a villager I like. Only with ones im not so keen on. I hope you can find Punchy again!

I didn't know villagers could ping you to move the day after someone finishes moving in. Well, I learned something today!

Something odd did happen to me recently... It was a stormy day, and Blanche was outside with her umbrella. I started a conversation with her and she complained about how she had to put on sunscreen that day... Never mind the umbrella and the thunderstorm, how do you even do that when you're covered in feathers?

I had something similar happen with Francine. I invited her to move in from the campsite. She moved in, and then a few days later she pinged to leave.

I just assumed that she hated living in Te?vana.

Yeah, I'll give him a chance, but only because he is a cat and looks so cute, haha.

You know, Benedict, right?

The villager? If so, I do. Never had him, but I know what he looks like, why?

Punchy is a bit of a jerk like that.
My only "bad" time with him was once when he ninja moved out and then this
