Something is wrong with my nintendo switch app!

I do not know where to put his thread. i was confused if i should put in Able sisters or here. so ill just put it here for now.
Something is wrong with my phone. the Nintendo switch app DOES NOT scan 3DS qr codes.

i try to scan the first one its says "QR code not supported"
and i scan the second one without the first one and it says "Scanned in the wrong order" or something like that.
I have brightened my laptop screen and my phone screen and it hasnt worked
i even went to search up in nintendo Questions but it wasnt answered. Went on ACNH reddit as well. Followed the steps and it still failed.
what am i missing?
Yes I connected my phone account to my switch and my switch is on before and it still failed

Is it all QR codes that aren't working with your app or just one in particular? Maybe try a non-pro one with a really high quality image of the code and see if it works. If it works, then the problem is probably with the first image of the pro code you wanted to use. If not, then there might be a problem with your phone's camera.

Tried a non pro one as well. didnt work. Also what problem could be if its the phone's camera fault?

I don't really know how phones work. The camera might just be malfunctioning. Some kind of hardware problem. You might try restarting your phone and making sure it's updated to the most recent version of its operating system.

You also might try deleting and reinstalling the app, just in case it's some kind of software glitch. Maybe see if other people are able to successfully scan the codes you've been trying, just to rule out a problem with the codes themselves.

If you're still not able to get the codes to scan, you might have to either recreate the pattern yourself, or see if someone else can do it for you, and then get the New Horizons code for it from them.

Yeah, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling, as that would usually fix most weird glitches. Update us if that works or not.

It's absurd that we need a mobile, a computer, (I don't own a PC), a third party app, and a switch to scan a code.

Not that absurd when you consider that the switch does not have a camera. The QR code pattern system is outdated, and they could just as well have dropped it entirely.

We also don't need a switch to scan the QR code, only to play the game, so if you don't have the switch, you won't need to scan it anyway.

It doesn't have to be a computer. It can be literally any device with an internet browser. An old phone? Perhaps that 3DS that you played the old game on? (The switch has an one but it's not that accessible. Which is a shame, really.)

The Nintendo Switch Online app and NookLink within is very much not third-party, by the way. It has been published by Nintendo itself.

Yes, it's a little annoying to need your phone to make this work, but this is about the best they could have done to let people keep their old patterns.

It had a camera.

The absurd part IS that the switch doesn't have a camera.
