Some landscaping advice wanted!

Hey there! Usually I have no problem with landscaping, but for this one area of my town I'm feeling pretty stumped. Long story short I used to have a small blue rose garden in this area with a row of trees and bushes, and after like 4 years I decided to change it! I realized I didn't have a fountain pwp set up and I absolutely love this one so I placed it in said area, but I just can't seem to think of what to do around it.

This is what I've come up with so far, but I feel in all honesty that its kinda awkward when compared to the landscaping in the rest of my town(I don't mind providing my DA if you want a look/a closer look at the area. I know it's hard to determine this with just 3 screenshots..):

I think the path looks fine however I feel the grass from the pattern that's around the fountain looks really off-putting, as well as the outer patterns on the top row. Maybe I could try a stepping stone 1 wide path around it instead and put bushes around it?(Would they even grow? I feel like that's too close..) I'm also not too sure about the flower arrangement either. I think it's really pretty but I planted holly bushes around that area because I think that area would look nice in the winter in contrast with the fountain, so I feel like they would clash.

I think your fountain area looks cute, but I do agree that something about the path seems a bit awkward. I've got a few different things you could try.

- Remove the current path around the fountain and replace it with single tile stepping stones 1 space away from the fountain. Plant flowers directly around the base of the fountain.

- Remove the path. Plant flowers directly around the base of the fountain. Plant some bushes and flowers 1 space away from the fountain, maybe a few trees behind the fountain on either side.

- Remove the path. Move the fountain back 2 spaces and surround it with flowers. Place a bench in front of the fountain where your Jacob's Ladders are now. Or two benches, one on the left and one on the right in front of the fountain. Just keep 2 spaces between each pwp and 1 space between a pwp and any trees/bushes.

I think the holly bushes look nice with the darker leaves and I doubt it would clash if you wanted to keep them, but hydrangeas would look great in that spot too.
