If you have access to other towns then your perfect fruit on premium (in another town with a different native fruit) or turnip trading are the way to make millions.
If you are dependent on your own town then its the bug farming on your island - set the island up (take out the 3 most southern most palms). It s a choice as to whether to take out all the central trees (all leave one) & flowers. I find keeping the flowers/one tree does not effect me much.
With a few large fish shadows thrown in.
Island farming between 6am and 8 am is very lucrative, its not just in the evening.
Put bell boom on and increase the earnings by 20% - but things you buy (including those on the island) also increase by 20%.
You don't get 20% more medals on the island tours and you don't get 20% + premium price, just premium on the base.
With Bell boom on one 40 min trip to the island (with one tour included) nets me approx. 420K bells. That is below the max possible.
