I usually play alone in ACNL (and most other games too for the most part). Sometimes I want to play with friends, but for the most part, I play alone. (BTW, I know that I can find people to play with, I'm just to lazy to do anything about it) Plus, it doesn't help when ACNL just keeps drifting in and out of my life.

On to the point of this thread. Do you play alone or with friends, mostly? What are your reasons?

I like to play alone. I hate having to follow other people around and I hate typing. (I'm fast, but most people aren't.) I also don't like hearing my villagers talk about people after I no longer play with them. I played with others in my old town, but I won't do it anymore.

pretty much alone. there are some people that have come to my town and i enjoy when they visit. ive had fun sometimes also at Club Tortimer. i'm just so awful at texting on the 3DS though, that it's more fun to play with others in short visits.

I play with others, usually, and only in my first town which is completed. This way it's obvious to me if anything was taken from my town. I don't have anything left to do with that town, so I usually have people over.

I mostly play alone. I have one friend that I play with often, but that's mostly because I find it more fun to play with people in real life face to face, than online and relying on typing. That's not to say I won't do that, but it's not my first pick.

Total New Leaf loner...as others have said, I hate typing in the game and following people around.

It probably also stems from the fact that I've been playing games since the "forced solo" days and it's just what I'm used to.

I play by myself. The lack of a voice chat makes communicating with people a real hassle. My best friend and boyfriend both play, so when I need help with something or want to play with someone, I play with them. I also don't trust anyone to come into my three year old town and not mess it up. I enjoy AC to relax, and I enjoy relaxing in a solitary way. I don't get a lot out of playing with other people because there's nothing really to do.

Pretty much this.

Although I like doing island tours with friends but I haven't really needed/wanted medals in the longest time.
Imo that's the only thing you can do "multiplayer-wise" in acnl. Just wandering around each other's towns would get boring for me xD.

I got this game around September last year and up until now I've played solo/with my close friend who lives a few houses over.

the passed two weeks though I've been clued to my train station visiting other people and having other people visit me. The people I've had over and visited, we dont need to follow each other, we keep our messages short. Usually its just some flower/fruit picking, check out the house and leave. I don't hang out for a long time but I like hanging out and visiting towns and vice versa.

I play alone for the most part, but I actually really like having visitors ^~^ I know the people I let into my town (besides those for quick trades) won't steal from me or run and kill my flowers, so I don't feel like I have to watch them. I don't mind typing, either, although it does take a while sometimes. I'm usually a fast typer, but if I'm tired or distracted, I mess up like 30 times in a 5 word sentence xD

I love playing online and making friends within this community, but I've never had much luck getting people to visit or invite after WW. No one cared for CF and when NL was released, I was too busy to play with other people... hopefully with the next installment (whenever that comes), it'll be a better experience. D:

I usually play alone also but not because I want to. It's hard to get lucky enough for someone to come over randomly. Now I finally have a good group of people I think. They open their gates randomly for visitors and I'm getting into the habit of doing the same. I don't follow people around because I doubt they'll steal flowers. Although if they did then I have back-ups with powersave. I'm a pretty fast typer on my 3DS but it's still annoying having broken messages. Nintendo really needs to work on that. We rely heavily on talking for entertainment because let's be honest, there's only so much to do in animal crossing with people.

i love playing with my friends! but i spend a lot of time by myself. it's not a bad thing at all. it helps clear my mind, especially in the later hours of the day.

I play by myself most of the time because I'm always so scared that someones going to come to my town and mess everything up.

I usually play ac alone, and I think the design of this game makes it perfect to be played alone. Ofc I enjoy looking in trading plaza to see if someone is selling a villager I like, I find it fun and cool to go to other villages to adopt animals. I also enjoy visit other people DA. Once in a very while I go to tortimer island and if the person there is nice, I like to do some tour for medals with them. Other than that, I'm happy to play in my village alone!

I don't usually play with anyone, but I do enjoy it most of the time. One of the great parts of this game, I find, is that you can play either way! Unfortunately, I don't really know anyone who plays, but ACNL, like has been said before, can be really relaxing at the end of a long day.

I usually play alone, it's been awhile since the last time I had friends over and did island tours. But I do get some friends over from time to time and we just chill and talk. I have a few tight animal crossing buddies on the yellow chat and we just chill through that since most are just want finish up some town duties. Yeah it would be nice to play with more friends! :3
