Soda vs. Pop

Give Jack a break. We know he calls it soda, but he's from Ohio, so he has an excuse.

It's pop, all the way. I have to correct people if they call it soda.

I'm from ohio...i call it pop.

You must have lived in a different area. Dayton area FTW.

I lived an hour from Dayton, I went to school there. But no, I was from southern ohio.

No, it's more of a general name. Coke, Pepsi, etc. is all pop/soda. But if you want a Coke, you ask for a Coke, not a pop/soda. XD

No, it's more of a general name. Coke, Pepsi, etc. is all pop/soda. But if you want a Coke, you ask for a rooster, not a pop/soda. XD

Ahh, now I understand. We would say, "Just gone off to get a fizzy drink" or something along those lines.

There are some places that call them Coke. Just in general, everything is Coke. But when asked what type, they say which brand (ie: sprite, pepsi, coke, etc)
