I'm happy with it more museum stuff is always good. I was hoping for more, but more is to come so I'm fine with it for now! I'm curious how the Gulliver thing is. Will there be multiple versions of Gulliver? It is regular gulliver being replaced by pirate Gulliver? If they alternate, it'll be even harder to collect all the original Gulliver items

I definitely understand the game's approach to introducing content. They are using the Splatoon model since the same team developed both games.

It's a love and hate relationship for me. I love that the game doesn't get boring because there will be constant updates to keep us busy every month. But on the other hand, it sucks because you don't know when the cut content will return OR if it will be returning at all.

I think Guliver was given the pirate role because he will be handing out the Pirate furniture set that Pascal used to give us. SInce there is no Island Tours, they gave the Mermaid set to Pascal instead.

I have my gripes with NH, but I'd actually love to hear why you think it's better than NL. I'm on the fence about that one, I think because NL also came out at a time that I really needed it.

Again the whole customazation features in this game are impeccable. You can make your island exactly how you want. There's no limits. The clothes are also really cute.

That's kind of how I feel about it too. Or that I will have lost interest in a year, in two years, or that I won't have time for it then. And the feeling of being strung along, a bit, and a bit of FOMO. I'm also taking NH more casually than NL, and to some degree, not knowing what's coming actually worries me that I've blown through the progression too quickly.

I like the re-addition of the mermaid set and diving into the game.

However, I still feel that these things should have been included in the game from the beginning, and we shouldn't have to wait for old-new additions to be added piecemeal, if they're added at all.

They added swimming in an ISLAND game (a much needed feature from NL) and they added one of my favorite NPCs of all time with a fan-favorite furniture set. How could you not be happy?

I'm actually happy with everything in this uptdate (and curious about Gulliver's new colors) but the problem is... this is not enough for the time all of us are waiting. We need an update of the Nook shop, we need a café, a dream suite and new fruits. Last update was I think around two months ago, we need more stuffs. We haven't even reached the level of New Leaf yet. After in minima four months. That's ridiculous.

I thought the Southern Hemisphere can do everything that the Northern players does with the update? Just because it says "Summer" in it doesn't exclude anything to players in the Southern Hemisphere that the patch is giving to just those in the Northern Hemisphere does it?

I'm just a bit confused as to why players in the Southern Hemisphere are upset? They can swim too I'm pretty sure? The AC devs are just following real time atm and we are in summer right now so it only makes sense to do a summer update? When winter comes, the southern hemisphere will be getting updates accommodated for them yes or am I missing something? Is it that those in the Southern Hemisphere can't make mermaid items?

I'm overall very happy about the update and don't mind if they gonna add all the old features, NPCs and such slowly into the game. I can already see the madness coming where people trying to get all the DIYs together from Pascal to complete the Mermaid series (which's wall looks btw freaking amazing, I love the animated walls and floors so much). Sure, I also hoped for Brewster to come back now, but hey, there's another update in August and many more afterwards, he will be back at some point and I personally can wait, as I have enough to do right now by designing my island and all.

I like all of it. I wanted diving, I got diving, I'm happy. Just fix the NPC schedule, introduce a few QoL improvements, and the game will be borderline perfect.

You can lay down paths (that aren’t custom) without accidentally clearing them from the ground. You absolutely couldn’t. That’s the best part of animal crossing for me.

I find that New Horizons has also addressed this issue in other ways because I have paths everywhere and it definitely prioritises interactions with items etc over deleting the path. So far I've only accidentally erased two pieces of path since launch, and they are pretty easy to put back down So happy with that...

I didn't care about swimming in New Leaf at all, and in my opinion, basically everything shown in the update except the Gulliver thing is lackluster to me.
