So you dont even need the gold watering can for gold roses

My friend used an outdoorsy watering can to water his black roses to try to breed more black roses and he got gold roses out of it.

I knew there was a chance for gold ones to spawn after rain but I guess the golden watering can isnt required to get them at all? Maybe it just increases the breeding chance.

Correct. I don't plan on having a 5 star island until a year down the line. The only reason you want 5 star is for Jacob Ladder which are great but I'm not going to add a bunch of trees and flowers just for one flower.

can anyone confirm with me if outdoorsy/colorful/any other upgraded nook's cranny watering cans are just reskins of gold watering cans? I don't have a gold watering can but my outdoorsy watering cans last like at least double the time the regular crafted ones do
