I have a small strip of land that looks exactly like the circled part in the picture. My house, my alt's house, and 2 villager houses are sitting on it all in a row.
I started off with a small forest which then turned into a mining area after Laedon struck oil, got a drilling rig and a caution/stop sign at the top there
I usually use those for forests of orchards and pine tree and flowers. But sometimes a villager will just friggin plot right then and there and then it's just like... Why? Why? Why? Why?
I do a strip of bamboo with flowers between them, with an animal foot print path around it. Then I do an orchard to the right of it. On the left I have the flower bed with gold flowers in it.
Since Phoebe put her house in that narrow sliver of land,(Grr...why didn't I plot reset >_<)I put some paths to connect Phoebe's house with the main pathing.
In Jayhawk, I have put Stonehenge along that stretch and plan on putting the picnic blanket there also (when Tammy finally suggests it). I also have a narrow strip that goes along the tall cliff side behind the Mayor's house. I have planted one of each kind of fruit tree there, so if someone plops their house on top of any of my trees around town, I know I will always have a way of replanting them.
Hmm... it really depends. I'd squeeze in some pwps or maybe an orchard or a nature area with a bench.
But for your map, I'd put in either a video screen, tower or windmill or wind turbine. Basically tall pwps and add some bushes, trees or flowers. It would make a nice view when viewing that strip of land from the other side of the river.
I put a house there and a ho tspring themed area. That strip that OP pointed out in that picture is almost exactly what mine is like, placing and and everything.
put the tower there so you could see if from across the river. Also built an alternate character's house that's themed like a movie studio beside the tower lol
so I guess it's the... entertainment district in my town?? anyway it looks like this:
I usually do put public works projects in that spot. I have a spot similar to that and I have all the "green" projects there like wind turbines and solar panels
