Mine had the perfect little area to put a bridge leading into the campsite, so it has a narrow path and a bridge on it. There's still a little bit of space left though, and I might move my windmill over there.
My map has one of those right by the upper waterfall. It looks really nice, but two of my villagers started out living there so there isn't much I can do there. I don't really want to get rid of Beau or Pierce, so I just shrugged and set my house up there along with them. Currently I'm trying to figure out how I should integrate it into the rest of the town because I can't have a decent looking path up there.
I have one town where on the right side under the sliver there was a larger space so I built a bridge, put Brewsters by the corner did an orchard and a bench spot. It depends what's underneath. If not doing a bridge there or is too small of an area to put much and you don't want villager houses there a small PWP. A nice orchard maybe space for a bench and some bamboo starts if is an area villagers can walk to.
If can't connect it I usually put my perfect fruits up in those lines.
I put a bus stop and a clock there. I randomly put a gyroid under the bus stop, so now I guess it's where lloid (aka a grave) goes to rest. It's pretty peaceful since there is a waterfall next to it and it's surrounded by roses.
I make mine a perfect fruit and hybrid flower orchard. I also put a bridge there to get people and myself to travel there more frequently so it doesn't feel like wasted space.
If you ever can I recommend connecting a bridge to that land! I personally wished I had done that.
But no, my spot is narrower, so I couldn't place a home there. Instead I have a lot of Pine trees, hybrids, a clover/mushroom path, with a drinking fountain and it ends with a zen bell.
I recently put a custom sign at the start of it and I'm going to call it "Feather Trail". So it will be a cute offical trail in my town.
I have been trying to figure out what to do with the tiny strip on my map... hot springs sound PERFECT! Hopefully it will fit. Awesome, thanks for the idea!
I put a well and some trees in my tiny strip of land since it's not big enough for big PWPs or houses. I was thinking about replacing it with a hammock though since it's right next to the sea and it looks like a nice place to relax.
