So what do you guys do with narrow slivers of land?

You know the narrow slivers of land up at the top of your screen when you get a certain map?

Not my map, but whatever.

Stuff like that? What'd you guys do with it?

Personally, I try to build smaller PWPs up there to try and draw a visitor's attention to that area. I've also been considering using it for my final alt.

I plant hybrids/put stumps there ♥

you can either place pwps, a villager house, alt house or just simply have an orchard

I had a villager put his house right on the edge of one of those once. It was really cute, next to a waterfall and everything.

I have some pwp's in that area up there, a zen clock, flower bed, and zen bell. It's one of my favorite areas in my town actually.

Mine's basically where that one is, except a little bit wider. I also have one near the cliff by my ocean, but I use it for the campsite. Perhaps yours could be used for the same purpose?

I put a house there and a crapton of flowers, since there isn't really a limit as to the buffer space.

I put the stone tablet and hot spring PWPs in mine, with a little trail leading to both of them. If I could fit a house there I would have, though.

I have one in my town-if I had chosen my map now I would not have picked it but I'm glad I did. I've got my campsite up there, a cutout standee, and a little fairy ring of mushrooms. I've got a little clover path leading to it too, I like it to be a pleasant little surprise for anyone visiting

I put both my alts houses there, they fit perfectly and it means my alts houses didn't take up precious space in the rest of my town!

I put the bus stop surrounded by pink and white carnations and famous mushroom on mine :3

Rocket and Stinky's houses were right in that area. I'm going to try placing some PWP's near that area so once I get Rowan or Mira, they'll put their houses there too.

I try to avoid getting maps that have those small slivers of land at all, but if I do have one, I usually just put my mule houses up there unless there are nicer places to put them.

I have bamboo and the zen stone thing up in that corner in my town, and I think it would look nice in a sliver section. You could make a little maze!
