on the ground...

Sort of... not moving, looking... weird.

Walked next to it, wasn't sure what it was... then it moved a little. Knew it was alive then... Pressed A with my net in hands, just in case...

OMG OMG OMG IT WAS A FREAKING TARANTULA AND I CAUGHT IT

How come it didn't attack me? I was like next to it, I could just... poke it! Never saw one before and I was so scared to see one that I always told myself that I would just run away then... THIS, THIS HAPPENED.

Maybe it was because you didn't rush towards it? That's really awesome, though! I know, quite a few people have issues with catching them and scorpions.

GG! If you don't run or get too agitated next to it, it won't attack you directly.

I caught a Scorp. Haven't caught an tarantula yet, kind of the same thing happened to me though with the Scorpion

I got bit by a few tarantulas before I learned of a few tips to catch them...last night I caught a scorpion on my first try. I had my net out and was holding A to try to creep up on it. When it started hissing, I froze, and when it stopped hissing, I slowly moved toward it and just brought my net down on it. :) I'm so happy! Only bug I have to catch now is the tarantula, and I'll have caught all of the July bugs.

I've caught tarantula few times to the encyclopedia.. It's just gross :D I'm trying to get a scorpion to my second game, but I'm having lil bit problems. I've gotten bit at least 10 times.... xD

Oh, I can't WAIT to get one! I'm so excited and I can't wait can't wait can't wait. One of each for the museum and one of each (at least) for myself for "pets." Now, I can't help but wonder if villagers will ever ask for them or if they are considered "rare" by the game standards and they won't. Hopefully they won't - I'll need lots of luck to even have one try, I think.

I hope I'll have the same luck with Scorpions... never seen one of those... yet. Seems like "I don't know what is this" approach is good, I'll try it more often.
