i opened my game today and was shocked to find that moe is moving away. this is really heart breaking because he was not only one of my starter villagers but is also one of my favorite current villagers. my sister is coming to save him and have him move into her town, but i'm still very disappointed.

anyone else have similar stories so we can have a pity party together? :'(

I lost Coco a little ways back. She was my last starter villager, and my in-game best friend at the time, so I was really sad. She moved to my mom's town though. I got over it over time though, and even though I love Coco, I've decided to let her go so I don't have to keep cycling out my favorite villagers. Every time I cycle a villager now it's like losing Coco all over again! I get attached to them too easily, and I love so many animals! >.<

This happened with Purrl to me when I was trying to move someone out so I could get Ankha from someone, I was so sad it happened with Purrl, but luckily she isn't one of my permanent dreamies.... :/ Also I love Moe, hopefully you can get him back from your sister someday :)

Yep, Lolly snuck out on me with no warning at all. I had talked to her every single day & run all her errands & brought her only perfect fruit. And one day I logged on & Isabelle broke my heart.

I'm hoping to get her back soon. She's very close to the top of the villager queue...

@ brooke....no worries about Purrl, she's moving into my town from your void. I like her better than Ankha, anyway, so I don't mind.

As for sad departures...mine would be when Rodeo got into boxes earlier than I thought he would. I'd heard rumors that he was thinking about moving, but he didn't ping me. I meant to go back on later that day to try to get him to ping, but I forgot. The next day was Halloween, so no one pinged then. I nearly cried the next morning when Isabelle told me he was leaving :(

ha Purrl was my BFF in City Folk... (maybe because we are both Geminis?) i wonder if she is still there... *cough* Highly Doubt it *cough*

Happens to everyone at some point. Freya managed to sneak out of my town when I wasn't playing much, although I could have sworn it was only four days after I last stopped a villager from moving. Still plan on getting her back sometime.

omg im sorry for your loss of moe @-@
i almost cried when i lost lolly in my old town D: but i stayed strong. so stay strong lumi!!

I know how you feel. Poncho was a starter in my town and he moved away! But he moved to my beat friends town so I was able to visit him. Then to my surprise he moved back! But moved away again when I was inactive and he was gone forever. :(

Roscoe. I time traveled too far and his house was gone the next time I loaded up my game. I can't tell you how long I had my mouth wide open because of how much I was in shock and sadness.

I had Dotty and Skye in my town when I rented the game at a video game store, and I loved those villagers. But then I had to return the game and I lost all my data. So much sadness.:(

Boomer was one of my starter villagers, but it wasn't until I let him move out that I missed his presence and only have the memory left of him in my town. A lot of my starters moved out and a whole new set came in, I don't miss them as much as I see them regularly on street but I still have a nostalgic feeling xD

same- i was learning to time travel (the wrong way apparently) and i loaded up one day and her house was gone. i dont think isabelle even had any comment first; i went around my town and there was no trace of Lolly at all. I almost quit playing when that happened. but eventually i got Fauna though and i think i like her even more.

Oh I'm sorry :( it's so difficult when that happens as you end up losing motivation to turn the game on at all.
Before I settled on my final dreamies I lost Ed. I didn't play for a few days and he must have been considering leaving on the last day I played but I just never checked everybody for a ping.
By the time I came back he was in boxes :( I was so sad because he was one of my first move ins and I love the smugs.
Plus I had a town at that time with had about 6 very unwanted/disliked villagers so I was very annoyed that it had to be Ed that chose to leave out of all the possibilities :(
Is there another villager you love as much?
Just thinking because I find it easier to deal with these things if you have another dreamie/loved villager to replace them with. Even if it's only temporary until you cycle out 16 villagers.
So sorry again :(

i used to have stitches in my town but he moved away coz i wasnt paying attention on him. lets hate ourselves now

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear what happened to Moe :(

If it helps, I don't know if anyone mentioned it but this happened to Chuggaconroy when he did his let's play, when Biskit moved out without his knowledge. It's an awful feeling to be in, but sadly as is the case of AC, animals come and go and if they want to go, they'll want to go. ;_;

Animals moving without my knowledge were more common-place in Wild World than New Leaf though, and I mentioned in a past thread that Tank ditched me on my own birthday. Other great villagers left me from that same town too - Baabara, Walker, Angus (though I didn't really care much for the Crankies then), etc etc.

Either way, the least I can do is offer the same advice as I do to anyone who's got an animal going - treasure the memories and move forward. Whoever takes Moe's place would be able to build new memories on top of pre-existing ones, whether you like them or not. And someday, when the 16-villager cycle boots him out, I say go look for him again and things will soon come full circle.

For now... virtual hugs from everyone :')
