I forgot about mushrooms ;; I don't even know how to get those.

They randomly spawn next to trees and tree stumps. However, you need to have the maximum island rating for some mushrooms to appear.

You don’t need 5 stars to get mushrooms. My island has a 4 star rating and Ive gotten 5 mushrooms daily since I time traveled to move out a villager.

You can still get all the other mushrooms except for the rare one though! I believe that they spawn next to regular trees and not fruit trees.

Its also possible that the Harvest Festival might be getting the "Bunny Day" treatment where it lasts for more than a single day.

Watch how you have to shoot veggies/ingredients from the sky and dig/fish them out of the ground/river just like those stupid eggs on Bunny Day so that you can craft all the needed parts for Harvest Festival within the week to get something special from Franklin as a reward for your efforts. But seriously, I can imagine that another event gets the said treatment like Bunny Day and if it's not Harvest Festival, then maybe Toy Day (or whatever holiday will be in winter then).

As for the update, I guess they gonna say something about it around the middle of the month.

With past Nintendo patterns for the updates, I say, like everyone else it seems, it'll drop around mid november. It can't come out much later than that really, because they gotta give us time to collect the holiday diys and prepare for the day itself, so...

People need to let go of Bunny Day.

It isn't and wasn't the worst thing.

Sure it didn't help for early farming of materials to get through the tutorial, but it wasn't the end of the world.

It'll drop mid to late November I feel. Which feels extremely late as my country already celebrated thanksgiving almost a month ago now.

The holiday in AC is based off of the US holiday though. Oh well.

Yeah, you can get all of the mushrooms no matter what your rating is. People say that it seems that there's a higher chance for the rare mushroom if you have five stars, but you do not need that to get it.
