I'm going to visit my friend's town tomorrow and I do not want a voided villager because I'm worried about the glitch. (I'm pretty sure my void is clear because none of my villagers have moved out, same with my friend.) But just to be safe, is this glitch still in the game after the update?

People who had glitched out plots-- like me-- had their glitched out plots disappear, and I was able to go to someones town and successfully adopt a villager with no issues, so right now it's looking good! Clearly they addressed the plots, so it would make sense if the glitch itself is fixed.

I had no issue inviting Skye to my island last night, even did the trick to check if the villager was bugged and they were not. Got back to my island and Skye had claimed her plot without issue. She should be moving in tomorrow morning.

I hope so but I'm going to wait a while and see, I guess.
I find it odd and kind of wrong of Nintendo to not release anything more formal addressing the glitch - like, you know, maybe: hey, there was this really game-breaking glitch to do with adopted villagers but it's fixed completely so it's safe now to adopt.

The problem with the glitched villagers, is that it wasn't always so obvious from the start that they were even glitched.
People have had villagers for weeks or even months (in the case of TT'ers) to have them glitch out all of a sudden.

Those people could trace their sudden glitched villagers to online play, based on the reports made here. I think if your Zucker-babe has been fine all along, and is still there roaming about the day after the update, that he is fine and you don't have to stressed anymore!

But I understand your anxiety and wanting to wait a few days to be sure.

There was a report of someone losing Raymond a day after the update came out.
I think they said Raymond was glitched but was doing fine all along.
I still have no idea to how to potentially check if a villager is glitched to begin with since I never bothered to try inviting Zucker to my island more than once.
I hope you're right though and that it will be okay for me.

That's my point though, if it's been a day and your villager is still there (post patch), then it should be fine! Did you update your game yesterday and play it at all? If you did that and played today on a new day and Zucker is fine then everything should be okay, based on what we know so far!

The person who lost their Raymond lost him the same way everyone else who either had the "I've Moved Out" plots or a seemingly normal villager lost theirs.

Oh, I thought the person with Raymond didn't actually have the "move out" glitch. Raymond was there and just disappeared as if he was never there to begin with.

No, I think that's true, but what I mean is, if your Zucker was glitched like that Raymond seemingly was, but was behaving normally, he would just disappear the following day.

That is a part of the "I've Moved Out" glitch, but it effected the villagers who had not yet triggered (possibly would have with online play).

Thank goodness he's still here today!
I guess I'm going to assume I'm safe for now.
