No offense Tye, but I'm really starting to doubt you've ever actually played an M game, because it seems you have no idea of what is in an actual mature game from what you posted.
I doubt he's ever touched one.

No, because then they wouldn't be Zelda, mario, and Metroid. So what if the games don't fit your style? Is it your place to criticize them? And do you really think you can change his mind?
I know that's not what they are, and that's why I don't care to play games like that on a regular basis, and that's fine because that's my opinion. But HE is actually trying to tell me that they have deep indulging stories. which they in no way whatsoever have.
They do. Some more than others, yes, and maybe not many of them are as complex as some M-rated games, but you're a fool if you think that a game can't be bright and colorful and still have a great story. Besides, in video games, gameplay comes before all. Story is a nice bonus, but what really matters is the gameplay.

Anyway, you're missing my point. I'm just trying to correct you. You think that M-rated games are rated such because of their deep stories, which is ridiculous. M-rated games are rated M because they "have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language." (Straight from ESRB's website.)
A world which has little plumbers jumping around colourful mushrooms really takes away from an intriguing story line.

And ridiculous? I don't think so, especially considering the best stories are IN M rated games. And big deal if there's some blood, violence, language, and suggestive themes, it makes it more real. What are you? 12? No you're 19, and you still play the exact same games you played when you were 5, and you're one of the most ignorant people I've come across.

No, it really doesn't take away from an intriguing story. A game doesn't have to be dark and violent in order to have a good story. Good stories come from good plots and well developed characters, which any game can have, regardless of their style. You're just being ignorant here. And why does it matter that I play the same types of games that I have always played? Why should I change the games I play just because I'm older now? The games I play aren't just for little kids, they're for anyone, which you fail to realize.

Guys, we're not going to win here, leave it to be oblivious in its own little world, we've got good games to keep ourselves entertained with, we don't need to hypnotise ourselves into being satisfied with the same crap as ever, like Tye has.

How can a Nintendo game possibly have well developed characters when they don't even put in voice acting? lol

And if you like them THAT much then fine, keep playing them, but generally there comes a point where people want to move on and experience other things.

Wow. Really? You're so ignorant that you actually believe that you can't have well developed characters without voice acting? Some of the greatest, most story-filled games ever don't have voice acting. And your assumption that no Nintendo game has voice acting is also wrong. There are many that do, including the upcoming Metroid: Other M. It's funny that you're so quick to call other people ignorant, but you can't even see your own ignorance. (And since I know that quote will be used against me, before anyone throws it back and me and claims that I'm the ignorant one, show some proof. You can say that I'm an ignorant fanboy and that I don't accept other people's opinions all you want, but that doesn't mean it's true. And it's not true. There's just a group of people here that keep reciting the same things about me over and over again, without ever even providing any proof. It's much like politics, how a certain political party will recite the same lies about people from the opposing party over and over again, and even though it's not true, people believe it because they keep saying it. *coughGlennBeckcough*)

Care to give an example of any T, E10+ and E games that have deep stories?
Wow....there are TONS of games rated E-T that have great stories. I'm going to list a few, but I probably could go on all day...

I'll first mention Zelda. While the stories are by no means wonderful original masterpieces, and almost all the games have the same story, they are simple to understand for all video game players. Just read what Tyeforce posted. Another game with a good story is Okami. Shadow Collosus also had a good story, so did Mother, the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, Legend of Dragoon, The Secret of Mana, Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger, ICO, The World Ends With You, and about all Final Fantasy games 7+.

Those games might not have blood and gore or extreme amounts of violence, but that doesn't mean they have bad, shallow stories.
Oh, I know there are games under M that have decent stories, but generally, the M ones still surpass them.

And not every game rated Mature is filled with blood and gore, and extreme amounts of violence. It's irritating that everyone under 14 doesn't realize that.
I know that not EVERY rated M game is like that. I own many rated M games, and I enjoy them very well. I was just using the blood and gore thing as an example. And I'm not under 14.

That it wrong.

Do you see what you did there?? I'll give you a hint, you just supplied the statement of your arguement, you provided no backing evidence and didn't develop your point using that evidence, that' not how debating works.

Now if you see the error of your ways like a good girl, this thread can just die in peace. Ok??

Thank you, goodnight.
That's not the actual definition of a fanboy, that's Wikipedia generatlizing. The true, dictionary definition of "fanboy" is "a boy who is an enthusiastic devotee (as of comics or movies)". That's the definition I go by. I'm an enthusiastic devotee to Nintendo, yes. But I'm not ignorant to every other game out there, nor do I bash those other games just because I don't like them. That's David who does that, not me.

</div>funeveryonemeanyoneI'm the ignorant one, show some proof.
You want proof? Really?

1) you defend Nintendo blindly, without ever having experienced a full game on another platform.

2) your name is tyeforce

Think thats enough.

oh and "You're so ignorant that you actually believe that you can't have well developed characters without voice acting? "

Yes, I guess I am.
Do we really have to have this argument again? You're trying to prove that I'm a fanboy, when you know damn well that I identify myself as a fanboy. But not the ignorant type of fanboy that you make me out to be. I'm a Nintendo fanboy because I love Nintendo. I use the word "fanboy" because I'm more than just an average fan. But, again, that doesn't mean that I'm an ignorant fanboy who bashes every single game that I don't like. Oh, yeah, that's you!
If I bash something, it's because I've played it and given it a chance, now you don't do that. You just bash anything that's not made by Nintendo, and that's what makes you an ignorant fanboy.
I don't bash anything that I haven't played myself. And even if I had played it, I don't bash it, I just say that I didn't really care for it.

Fanboy is a term used to describe a male who is highly devoted and biased in opinion towards a single subject or hobby within a given field.

Keyword there: biased. All your arguing is irrelevant due to lack of evidence to support your wild claims besides 'opinion'.

Your admittance to fanboyism combined with that definition is, I believe, enough to close this arguement.

Thank you, goodnight.

If David does say something negative about a game, at least he provides some evidence, unlike you in any of your arguements. (save for your Godly, 'opinion' exit card)

Nah, you bash them because they contain violence, strong language and real-world story without even giving them a chance first.

No he doesn't. He says something like "the gameplay can be sooo boring, and so damn repetitive" or that it's just a "kiddie" game.

He doesnt want to play the game because he thinks it's repetitive (completely understandable)
He prefers darker games.

He was bashing FF there, I love FF, but I could see that he simply doesnt for those givin reasons and left him alone with his opinion, something which you are unable to do, and unlike you, we all dont have time to post giant walls of text completely explaining ourselves, we just trust that the people on the recieving end of the message will unerstand what we meant, whihc is why you seem to get into all the fights around here, not anyone else.
