I've had 2 TTing accidents happen just today, and I lost both Celia and Whitney... I'm so heartbroken and frustrated, and just thinking about restarting my game.

Of course, this would mean I would have to start everything over from square one. I'd have to ask someone to hold all my bells, a few hybrids, my Gracie items, etc...

I would have to start over and work towards getting my dream villagers again.

I would have to earn all my badges again, unlock all my PWP's again...

I would have to re-make my town COMPLETELY.

Is it worth it? Or am I just being irrational due to my frustration?

I really need some help on this, I don't know what to do. I'm feeling super down... :(

It's not worth it. Your town, everything you worked for, will be gone.
You can always get Whitney and Celia back! It will just take a while, would you rather have the chance to get them back or have to reobtain them from scratch?

It's probably won't be worth it if you've spent a long time on your town. There is a solution: 16 villager cycle. It'll be easy especially if you TT a lot. Just check your villagers often to make sure no one is moving.

I know how you feel with losing dreamies, I lost one of mine (Coco ;-; ) due to excessive TT'ing. So I'm trying to cycle to get her back. You will eventually, I assure you.

I honestly wouldn't mind getting them back from scratch. That's why I'm so torn. But maybe it's just my frustration getting to me :\

That's exactly how I lost them ; n ; I was trying to cycle as to get Fuchsia back (she moved out around early July). I talked to Celia and Whitney and everything, but they didn't ping me. I TT two days, and their plots are gone... Ughhh

If there are things in your town you think you can improve on, then maybe. But if it's just because you lost two villagers and you would ideally want to keep the rest of your town, it's much easier to just cycle to get them back again.

I think your frustration for accidentally losing both of your villagers got to you. I mean all your hard work ))): You can always get them back (: I would go for cycling 16 villagers method to get them back. I wish you luck on the decision you decide to make!

//sigh I'll think it through :\

I'll probably end up just cycling, but it kinda gets me mad, since I'll have to start the 16-villager cycle count from the very beginning now :\ I was almost done with Fuchsia's and I would have had all my dreamies after maybe 3 or 4 more cycled villagers :\

Honestly, best thing I can recommend is just sleeping on it. I cannot tell you the number of times I've reset in frustration, been relatively happy with a new town, then woke up the next morning dreading turning on my DS. :P

i'm really sorry. i know how you feel bc the last time i restarted it was bc i was frustrated octavian moved out w/o telling me, so i went ahead and deleted my town. ~_~ jokes on me bc it turned out he moved out again when i started my current town, but i didn't want to restart this time bc i liked my town too much...

i think it really depends on what you want to do. badges and other things can be earned back. you can look back at this as a challenge for yourself. are you 100% happy with your town? or could it be better in your opinion? you should take these things into consideration, because villagers can come back (it's so time consuming though) so i would understand why you'd just want to restart.

if you are pleased with how your town is, i wouldn't restart. but if you're not and losing those villagers are just the tip of the iceberg, i would consider restarting so you would be able to rest easy.

I would think about it if I were you, and just see how you feel soon. I'm really sorry about you losing those cuties though u v u I don't think you should restart in this situation, but I've never experienced it myself, nor do I know how you truly feel, so I can't say much.

Whatever you decide to do, I wish you luck! ( ? ▽ ` )ノ ♥

That's what I'm kind of afraid of, that I'll regret doing it... That's why my first instinct was to get some advice from the users here.

I love my villagers, and my town is fairly decent, although I have a long way to go. But I feel like I could make-do starting over. UGH I don't even know.

Probably a smart choice, thinking about it first :\ ahdflkjahsdlfkj

Ugh. I know the feel. I TT'ed and lost Skye, when I found out she was in boxes, I wanted to cry. Luckily my friend is holding onto her until I can cycle out enough villagers or until I don't want her anymore.

But I would definitely say think hard about it. Cycling through 16 villagers will be a hassle, but it'll be worth it in the long end if you decide to keep your town. I definitely agree with wintersoldier. If you aren't fully satisfied with your town, then go ahead and restart.

I wish you good luck in figuring out what you wanna do! ^.^

A wise choice, to think about it. I'll definitely do that.

I think you should look at the time that will go into both options. How long will it take to restart and get your town to where it is now, and how much time would it take to get Whitney and Celia back.

I?m thinking it?d be a bit easier to wait and keep your town and work towards getting them back.

I have done both, a 16 villager cycle and the restart thing.
I restarted because my town wasn't that great. Impossible to work with, awful map, it was driving me crazy! I had tons of great ideas and I needed a new map to make those ideas come true. I didn't save a thing, nothing was held by others. Now I have a pretty town with almost all my dreamies.
I did, however, loose Beau once. I was devastated, he's my absolute favorite! It took about 1 1/2 month to go through the cycle. I found out that I love Papi just as much, so now I have them both. I also lost Fauna, one of my other favorites - but I don't really mind. I have Skye and Merengue as my normals and a lot of my other dreamies.

Both choices are tough. When I restarted I spent around 5 hours picking my map. I spend a lot of time getting unwanted villagers out, getting bells, expanding and all that.
Doing my 16 villager cycle I lost a lot of great villagers. But that's the price.

In your case I think it's not worthing it. I can understand your frustration, so I'd suggest you to take a break until you've calmed down, and then go back to game. It's better for you :)

One year challenge is the solution! Think about it, and if you still want to restart we can do it all together in 2015.

Thanks, everyone, for the advice you've given me :) I think I'll stick with my current town! Sure, it's going to be a lot of work and kind of annoying to get those three villagers back (Whitney, Celia, and Fuchsia), but it would be even more work to restart my town and get it to where I'm at now with it.

I'll keep you all posted if I get them back anytime soon!

Thanks :)
