I had that error just last week.
I received a Birthday letter from my in-game mom....
It's sweet, but here's the problem..my birthday is not until February. I haven't TT to February, so this is weird.. So is this a glitch?

that's weird, i did time travel to october and back to get a villager to move out but i didn't go too far ahead maybe i just confused the game with all the time travelling

I've gotten a mom's homemade cake in the mail while TT to get villagers out. My bday is in January, I never TTed past November.... it's a pretty common bug since my sis also got one when it wasn't her birthday
Yeah, especially when people keep time traveling and just blame the game for everything... but to each their own I guess. You really can't expect the game not to make mistakes when people keep pushing it to function in a way it's not meant to.
If they're time traveling, then I guess it makes sense. But if they're not, then that's really weird.
In-game mom is losing it. She did the same thing I'm also a March baby.

I feel like I’ve been seeing more and more threads about this issue lately! It’s definitely a glitch. A friend and I both experienced this in April and my girlfriend got it in May, when all three of our birthdays are in autumn and we definitely chose correctly in-game. It’s kinda strange, though, because the letter you have in the original post is the one I got when I TTed past my actual birthdate—when my friends and I experienced this glitch, the letter said something about it being the day my mom and I first met and my girlfriend made a joke about the player character being adopted. I wonder what’s causing this, if it’s somehow linked to TTing too many days or what lol. Either way I’m really surprised it’s been going on for 2 months.

That happened to me too! I got the birthday card in May but my birthday is in January. It happened when I was TTing (but I was still TTing within the month of May, and not changing the year or anything) but I actually went back and forth between the same two dates several times but only got the card once. What a weird glitch...
Happened to me too, don't know why it happens! Although it seems like it has something to do with tting. I rarely time travel, but I was trying out the campsite trick and time traveling because of that. Did not get anywhere close to my birthday but still got a cake.
