So I caught my first Coelacanth!

It's been about 3 months or 4 now since I started playing acnl and I didn't really look into the rare species of fish/bugs a lot in the beginning, or not enough really so I only learned about this fish semi recent and with it snowing more since winter, I figured I'd put effort into it and within maybe 15 mins I got it! Took awhile since having to scare away the tinier fish so it could spawn but, yeah! Yay!

omgggg congrats!!!! ii just caught mines too!!!! been playing since Feb. so ii didnt have a chance to catch it, bht this was my 2nd to last fish ii need to complete my museum, the next one is in Jan. so ii have to wait bht im super excited!!!!! ii as wrll haf to scare thr small fish away, ii wasnt catching anything on the bigger side of the beach so right when ii was gonna give up for the night ii went to the smaller side and there he was!!! ii even caught 2 more right after

Congratulations! I am so happy to hear about your achievement! I spent two hours yesterday, trying to catch one... in the wrong spot!!! For whatever reason, my brain thought the fish lived in the river! Ahahaha!!! It was too late, after my realization, in the day to catch it, and I have been too busy to work on catching one today. On the bright side, I was able to catch fish from the river, which I needed to donate, yesterday.

I have heard that wearing the lucky item of the day will increase your chances of spotting a rare bug or fish. I have not tried this, but maybe you can give it a shot in the future with other bugs or fish that you have yet to obtain!

Congrats! I have yet to catch one on my new saved file. I rarely fish though (more focused on catching the tarantula and the Scorpio).

Cool! I can't even remember the last time I caught one but I stored a coelacanth in my secret storage somewhere. Oh, and I like the dialogue for the coelacanth where it said "HOLY FISH STICKS!".
