So how does villager selling/trading work?

I remember a few years back before my old cartridge got stolen I had the best villagers. I still remember all of them and miss them so much. How does villager trading work and could I possible obtain all my old villagers back?

unless you've had them in your new town and you haven't gone the though the 16 villager cycle, then its possible!

You just watch this sub forum for people to post villagers you're looking for. Some are free, some trade for other villagers, some sell, and some auction. As you have quite a few not highly popular villagers, you ought to check the cycling threads. A lot of peeps autovoid tier 5 villagers, but if you let them know you're looking for one of them (and they actually have them) they might be willing to either let you know or you just have to watch the thread for them.

I hope that helps!!! When I first joined I was looking for a lot if not really popular villagers for my kids's towns. I got tooooooons of help from fellow cyclers who I will always hold near and dear to my heart! Just keep an eye on the threads and post in the looking for thread who you're seeking. That helps too!!!

You go to the Villager Trading board here and check threads to see if someone is selling one of those villagers. Sometimes a villager will be free, it depends on its popularity and the seller themselves.

If you agree to do the trade, most likely you'll be expected to pay first so after you pay, they'll let you in their town to pick up the villager. You go to the villager's house (after asking for permission or have them lead you) and talk to them while they're in boxes (have boxes in their house). Once you talk to them, they'll ask to move into your town. Obviously you say yes and then they'll move in the next day or so!

Keep in mind that if you've already had the villager in your town but they moved, you'll have to do the 16 villager cycle which is a whole other story.
