• Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.

So, how do you make your bells?

Well, I only recently started to make some serious bells. When I recently started playing the game again, my Fianc? was no longer using his 3DS to play his copy of AC:NL so I started practicing cycling villagers on his 3DS to sell on this forum. I unfortunately don't have a lot of time to play so instead of setting up a Cycling thread I created an Auction House. After only auctioning a few villagers over the span of a few days I had made over 25 million bells.

It is possible to cycle villagers in your main town using the method I use without losing the villagers that you want to keep in your town. You just have to be very careful and patient and don't rush the process. Basically what I'm saying is, you don't necessarily need to have a second 3DS console and a second copy of the game to try this. But I would err on the side of caution if you decided to give this a try using your main town. It is most definitely one of the most effective ways to make a lot of bells. You can find the guide to doing this here.

I make money off the island but I usually get quite bored of that so I just trade tbt for bells. You kind of need a ton of bells since you gotta deal with home upgrades and PWPs and friggen Gracie.

Due to my complete inability to access wireless internet, this little Mayor depends on island bugs for her mega-bells. On the bright side it must be helping me towards the Insect catching gold badge nicely.

Turnips. Lots and lots and lots of turnips :d
I usually pack a whole lockerful at ≤100 Bells, then I sell them anywhere from 400+ to make a profit. Makes like ~10 million-12 million so yeah, pretty good way to make some Bells.
Takes half an hour to buy the turnips and another half hour to sell them.
