A different type of Snowboy would be sitting at the plaza, on like a cold slab of frozen brick. So Snowboy doesn't melt.
The event is about catching as many snowflakes as you can around the island. Like how the bug off event is. Because I find it very confusing why there isn't an alternative event for those that are in the Southern Hemisphere in Winter to have an event. While the Northern hemisphere is doing the bug off event in Summer.
Snowboy will reward you with special frozen items and things. And you can exchange your snowflakes for large snowflakes if you wanted to. Or if not you can keep the normal snowflakes.
