Snow or Sakura?

I personally vote on snow. Even though we had wayyy to much this year, the snow in animal crossing is cute and elegant.
Plus I love the ice furniture and how the snow sticks to trees and bushes <3

Cherry blossoms blooming as an "event" in real life is a very Japanese thing, it's natural to call them sakura. Most of the time when people are talking about "cherry blossom" trees, they're talking about the Japanese type of tree (Prunus serrulata) not just any old ornamental fruit tree. If it was based in my hometown in South Carolina, it'd be the azalea blooming event.

Your hometown sounds adorable! Also I totally agree with everything you said. Not to mention that there are a lot of Japanese-inspired items and events in the game...so it just makes sense to learn about those things and respect them. I don't see what's wrong with that.

I agree with the snow being a lovely dream. I tried to do that, but tbh, my town just wasn't the way I wanted it to be. So maybe a lot of people also just haven't completed their towns by winter, the way that they would like. I mean if you started in June, then maybe by April you're pretty happy with your town and want to save the dream.

I forgot that during Christmas time/NYE the pine trees had lights on them, and it just looked so pretty! Maybe we're all just tired of the snow after 3 months of it...but it really was very pretty.

Sakura's cool, but there's enough of it already. And really, the only reason I could think of that snow wouldn't be a good choice is because we've had so much of it already. (I live in Florida, so I don't hate it quite as passionately, but it does look pretty dreary in-game.) If you do choose snow, try it at night, with aurora lights, and pine-tree flashing lights. And illuminating PWPs, of course. It'd be awesome.

I think snow is nice but cherry blossoms are a lot prettier and it's harder to get sick of cherry blossoms

awww, I don't think the snow looks dreary at all. I kinda missed it when it stopped snowing in game. but I live in hot california where it never snows.

I think I might be biased because I just got out of a long, gross winter and I'm tired of the snow, haha. Spring is also my favourite season. It doesn't matter if there are already a lot of similarly themed towns; do what you like regardless of whether or not it's already been done I love cherry blossoms and the petals, they're so warm and calming and peaceful. You could also make your town look quite lovely with fruit trees and flowers.
