Snooty villagers just aren't snooty?

i only had one snooty, and that was ankha.
all she would do is gossip and talk about her clothes, so i guess the snooty personality was toned town a bit.

I agree that snooty villagers aren't snooty at all.
I had Bree in my town and I thought all the time she had the normal personality until I checked the wiki. xD
They really are too nice.
Same for the cranky villagers. In older games they said things that pissed me off but now they say funny things and make me laugh a lot.

I remember when you used to reject doing a favor for snooty's. Oh boy, they would make you feel inferior or weak for not agreeing to do such an as they would call it "simple" task. Haha, I like them nice or mean. They have their moments.

Villagers are probably toned down after overly sensitive kids were getting their feelings hurt by Animal Crossing. Nintendo admitted that they took out Mr.Resetti (unless you get the Reset Center) because he made children feel bad. I wouldn't be surprised if someone whined that Snooty villagers weren't nice enough either.

It sucks that they decided strong villager personalities were bad and thought something like grass deterioration was a good idea...despite all of the online petitions back in City Folk to take the grass deterioration out. *facepalm*

It seems like a lot of Nintendo games are based off of the little kids. IRL, you're going to encounter jerks, so Animal Crossing could just be like training before you encounter them in real-life situations. XD

I didn't even realise that Blanche was snooty until I looked it up. I'd had her in my town for weeks at that point - she was just so nice though! ^^; So I agree that they definitely watered down the snooty personality.

I know what you are talking about. My "snooty" villager Ankha is actually pretty nice and has lent me medicine on multiple occasions.

I agree with uchi being snootier than, err, snooty.

What kids today would be offended by a real Snooty's attitude, or scared of Resetti? All the kids I know would laugh at all that and want more. Lame. Their parents need a talking too! And if Nintendo is going to cater to a younger generation, there should be an option at start-up to choose since many young and older adults play this game.

When wild world came out I was only young, Kapp'n, Resetti and Boone all scared me- lol
However portia is very, very snooty- though she always gives me cool rewards!
