Smash Bros Snapshot album data + SD card question

If I create the folder for the snapshots to an SD card in my WiiU that contains Wii data is it going to wipe the Wii data in exchange for WiiU photo data? I don't want it to format away my Wii data just to create a photo folder for Smash Bros, that would be a disaster.

Then again, the SD card I used for my snapshot data is my old 3DS'.
