Snaking do like it or not?

I hate it because then people can win instintly. I just played a snaker just now.

Yeah, you do get better items but when they keep doing it ahead of you, and you use all the bullet bills, and blue shells you can, it gets out of hand. But I always say this, "When snakers snake, SNAKE!" :evillaugh: . But whenever I try, the other person behind me gets ahead, because honestly, I'm a awful snaker. But I use R.O.B karts just incase I race a snaker.

While that may be true, it is still unfair for players that can't snake well. And it is totally unesscary most of the time because nobody else is snaking they just do it anyway, and when it is constant that isn't using a technique of racing, but just using that as your fuel to win. That makes it way unfair. And plus people who play by regular rules, who have high-scores when they earned it lose because someone snakes its stupid. I bet some of the top racers on the MKDS highscores on NintendoWIFI.com are snakers and just sneak their way on. While, snaking is good now and then like Baby Park turns, it shouldn't be just somehting that makes you win. Its a played out technique that should stay on single player. The people who made this game made it for fun, not breaking that fun by snaking. If they put in a shortcut, thats ok, because you use it now and then. Thats how snaking should have been, now and then. Snakers just aren't having fun too I bet, because they know they win the race automatically. THATS NO FUN!!!

It's not very wise to hate snakers; snaking is a technique; it's the player's fault that he can't snake, not the person who snakes against him. Seriously, snaking is a skill, not a hack or cheat, but most people treat it as something that's not supposed to be there... I believe it was put in the game intenetionally... Seriously, even Reggie Fils-Aime snakes, there's proof in NOA_ANDY's thread about the race against Reggie.

Snakers don't win the race automatically... If they race against another snaker, then the match is very well-rounded!

I dont really mind snakers. but i do have some advice for some snakers: snake if there are any snakersa racing, but dont snake if everyone else isnt/cant. I can snake pretty good, but if im facing non snakers i dont snake.

I powerslide all the time, but I don't snake, and it doesn't bug me to lose fair and square to a snaker.

Yeah, I powerslide in Baby Park too, and that was my mistake of saying snaking was in mission mode. I meant powersliding. Powerslide all the time too aka.mini-turbo boost, like on GBA peachs course, Wario stadium, Circut-8 Track and tough corners that you cant go on, without crashing in to the grass or barrier. I dunno if this was off topic but just in case......

This only shows that snaking isn't neccesarily such a big advantage. Snakers sacrifice items for speed, which isn't always good.

In truth the only way to really win at MKDS is to practice and use not only items, but the track itself to your advantage, combining skill with items in the perfect balance for you is the only way to win, even then there will always be someone better than you, but hey, you can't win every race, but you can try your best, and have fun doing it.
