Smugs are the gentlemanly villagers. Personally, I think they should bow when you leave their houses instead of the lazy villagers. I had Jacques in one of the many towns I restarted and he was one of the few smugs I did like.

Haha... I'm glad to see all the love for Jacques in this thread. He just moved into my town after I lost Julian due to TTing and I am not so sure about him yet

My favorite smug ever is Tex. Unfortunately I got a little bored after having him in my town for a really long time and let him move. I still regret it. He was also the flirtiest smug I ever had. At that time he was the only smug I knew and I thought, they'd all be like him but it's never been quite like with Tex again.

My Tex was very flirty, too. In fact, none of my other smugs have ever flirted with my characters, so I thought it was funny.
