this is basically just me complaining but like, I wish it was easier to do unique things with your town. like I wanted a forest/natural town but those seem so cliche now?? not quite as cliche as the totally pink cherry blossom cute towns but still

I get what you're saying, I had that thought quite a few times myself. Now my towns really have no theme at all because I don't want them to be cliche.

It's hard to do even semi-original themes now. I guess that's one of the reasons why I've never tried to theme any of my towns.

Landscaping, sure. But no themes. Only one of my towns has something that could be classified as a theme, I guess?

It just seems like every possible thing has been done.

i have a natural/forest town and i kinda agree, but i also think that you can be very creative and do whatever you want. it's fun and nice to find different ways to make your paths seem natural and put the trees in a nice way and i don't really think it feels too uh not unique tbh, like ik many ppl have a forest theme buT!! it's still really nice and different from every town

I don't think matters what other people have their town like tbh just do what u want, it doesn't matter if you have a forest themed town like lots of other people. I'm going to do my town like that too. there's only so many different 'themes' you can have for a town and like visibleghost^ said, even if your theme is like lots of others, you can still make it original with what you do with it

that's really true. and just to clarify I wasn't saying theres like anything wrong with having a common theme in your town, I just wish there were more unique things to do/more ways to customize things outside smh

ooo those would definitely be unique. I've never been to a town with either of those themes before!

I don't think Bevelle is too stereotypical... It's not overly pink and has elements of Zen as well as fairytale

But I totally get what you mean! There are limited amounts of looks you can really achieve with the same PWP's and flowers etc.

I would really love to be able to use the indoor items outdoors, like in HHD... I think that would really help keep things original

Yeah, I get what your saying. Imao, I'm doing a labyrinth town and I swear as soon as I decided to do that everyone decided to do that as well.

What I think would be unique is a abandoned/prisoner town.
Your map should have a vertical river and the side with enough space for a villager house plot resset some villager homes to that space (those are the prisoners) and have sand patterns and some bare patches and the mayors house can be the county jail/bank/town hall. I think it could be a cute western theme and can be pulled off right if you feel up to it.
