What are some Smash flaws that you have? When I say Smash flaws, I mean stuff that hinders your game play.

-For me, I'm kind of a Super Flash Brother aka I like to be flashy. Because of this, I end up racking up SD's more often than not. But sometimes, this play style can be successful.
eg:

It's more risk than reward, though.

-I'm also a very impatient Smasher. I just like to run up to opponents and wreck ****(especially as Ganon) as opposed to a slower more methodical approach. I feel if I was a bit more patient, my win rate would rise.

-Another thing I want to work on is grabs. If I were more successful with my grabs, I think would lead to more W's. I'll get a clean grab maybe 6 out of 10 times, but I don't think that's good enough. I also really want to incorporate more pummeling into my grabs as well. When I get a grab, I get a little nervous and will just put in a direction input real quick.

-Finally, I could use some good work on reading and shielding. I often find my opponents shielding better against me than me shielding against them.

I have a couple more, but those are the big ones.
Anyway, I whipped up this thread so you all can point out your Smash flaws and maybe get some advice from the TBT Smash community as well. It's always nice to get tips.

Feel free to post about specific character flaws as well. Maybe we can even get some practice rounds going too!

Honestly, I think I'm in the same mess as you, Jav.

- People who sprint in the same place back and forth rapidly after they kill me really ticks me off for some reason. I end up doing something rash because of it sometimes.

- My stance on overgrabbing hinders my gameplay. I don't like when people grab a million times a match, but if they keep using their shield what am I supposed to do? Instead of grabbing them I end up attacking them with their shield on leaving myself open because I'm afraid of grabbing my opponent too much during the match.

- I am not very good at landing after I get launched high in the air. I can rack up some serious damage because of this.

- This is for all games in general, but my hands can get really sweaty during an intense match and it's really annoying because I have to constantly wipe them off with something during the match.

I suck at grabs too.... people who continuously grab me make me so angry too, probably out of jealousy hahaha!

I'm not very good at getting the kill shots, and more prone to just lasting longer until I get something...

I would love to practice with anyone too, shoot me a PM/VM if you wanna play tonight or tomorrow! I'm off all day!

I feel like toad not being in smash (other than peach) is holding be back from embracing my full potential.

Amd I suck at grabbing but lets focus on the key things here.

Another three flaws of mine.

-Spammers can take advantage of me due to my slower reaction times, this does effect me as well when I try to "tech" from being hit into a stage and will most likely fall to my death, but I'm getting better...Slowly!

-I will admit, I do attempt to grab too much, either results in me being grabbed myself or people getting annoyed since I'm grabbing them too much as a punish

-Alike spammers, speedy characters (especially Falcon/ZSS/Sonic) can easily punish my shields with grabs compared to slower characters due to my slower reaction times

Also people who taunt after killing me and it wasn't flashy or well deserved kinda annoy me, at least take me out in style before you taunt!

[td]Basically every flaw you can have in Smash ever.
But mostly I have bad aim and don't too too good with big, bulky characters.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! Captain Toad would've been the best ever

Sometimes I space out when playing and just randomly roll around and button mash. Also when I start losing quickly in the beginning of a match, I lose confidence and try less.

my entire gameplay is one big flaw

I'm incapable of getting good grabs, I suck at timing, predicting my opponents movements and to top it all off I barely manage to control my character (being limited to using wiimote+nunchuck is a big reason for that tho)

there's other things I'm **** at but those are the big ones

You are good though! You're good at reads and dodging(specially as Jiggs and Zelda) and you can punish too.
Also, have ya tried using the gamepad? I know it's kind of uncomfortable, but maybe you'll be able to control your character more!

Oh, I got one. I always go for the spike lmao.

I hate when that happens to me.... mostly because I can never do it

- - - Post Merge - - -

I don't ever look at the tv when I use the gamepad... I feel kinda bad

This is me except I use a Gamecube controller so I have no excuse.

I've been playing these games since the original for the Nintendo 64 and in all those years have never gotten into the habit of grabbing.

If I'm losing by a large margin or if I come up against a good Cloud, I just self-destruct instead of continuing to try to finish the match.

I don't know how to get out of an opponent's juggle.

I'm pretty bad at reading an opponent. I just guess and usually my guesses are wrong.

I successfully hit my main, Ike's, up-air maybe every 1 out of 10 attempts.

By default, my brain favors going for Smash attacks instead of tilts.

I'm a mess, to be honest.

Every time someone is fully charging their smash attack from the other side of the stage I have the biggest urge to just walk into the smash and get ko'd on purpose xD
