I really wanted the Wii U version but I guess I'll buy the 3DS version first and get the Wii U one later on, but that's not really worth it.

To me, it's kind of dumb that they plan on releasing the Wii U one later on, with the only reason being more development time. The releases are only a season apart but it'll suck to see all your friends have the 3DS version and you wanted the Wii U one.

Exactly how I feel. I feel as if I need to buy both when the Wii U version is the only one I really cared for. Lol #nopatience. On a different note, I REALLY want Paluntena. I mean that Psuedo-Palutena trophy troll move during the direct.

I'm going to get both I guess. I don't want to wait until winter if the 3DS version is out, but I imagine the Wii U version will be better.

Pretty much this, I'll buy a Wii U closer to Winter.

I am always going to play as Greninja!

Thank you so much for putting him in the game! I love you!

Anyone ever thought why the WiiU version would release later?
It's probably because of the better graphics.
Nintendo needs to fix and add more to the game to alow smooth gameplay, and to make it actually worth playing. The graphics in the WiiU version are pretty detailed, so I guess it would take longer than the 3DS version's release date, because the graphics for the 3DS version is not as detailed as the WiiU version. So I guess Nintendo will take quite a bit of time to fix all the bugs and glitches of the WiiU version.
But hey, a little wait won't hurt right? Correct me if I'm wrong about what I just said though.

probably the most badass picture ever, i never thought I'd see Mario and Charizard go at it like this haha

Yo, so I got really interested in the character pics/profiles/whatever that they showed near the end and I thought they could make some really cool wallpaper and other uses, so I went and screen grabbed a ton of them, did all kinds of stuff and ended up putting them in a zip file. If you don't know what they are here are some examples:

Not sure why the sizes are so wonky but they don't look like this when you download them...

They seem to be really HD (probably because they were full screen) so if you want to download them here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/786f8zw56kdht29/SSB4_Character_Profiles.zip It has all 29 confirmed fighters including Greninja and Charizard. Hope you guys enjoy them :)

That's marketing. =p

They're trying to show off all the features and good stuff for the 3DS because it's coming out sooner. They'll focus more on the Wii U version once the 3DS one is close to coming/already out.

As for all the points you made earlier, I strongly disagree with every single one of them. Especially the whole aiming the game toward more competitive players. Because I don't know about everyone else but I'm getting pretty tired of all these hand-holding Nintendo games. We need a game that is actually somewhat of a challenge instead of games where you can use a feature that essentially lets you beat the game on auto. It's a habit Nintendo has been getting into and it's horrible.

First paragraph, case and point. Second...

Oh, just forget it. Why argue with someone when they are going to just keep disagreeing and/or saying you're wrong.

I think I... will just... leave.... :(

Not gonna lie I'm upset and the release date for the Wii U version. It was the only one I cared to buy, and as other people have said the stages on the 3DS version look kinda crappy and I'm worried about potentially breaking buttons on the machine. But now I'm going to get it because it will suck to have to wait longer when the game is already out in a sense. (I'm sorry that was really confusing but you get the point.)

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I got a WiiU for mainly SSB4, now I have to wait longer. I'm probably gonna get the 3DS version as well, just to have something for in between.

The Wii u version is being released around Winter - near Christmas - where people will have more interest in looking to buy a Wii u. They may even do a Wii u pack like they've done with Mario Kart 8. c: I feel as if the 3DS version will just be sort of a teaser compared to the Wii u version - I hope - they've shown off most of the 'exciting' exclusive stages for that version, the Wii u's will probably be better, they'll show us more spoilers for that version around the time of it's release. The Wii u version may even have more characters or stages to make it better than the 3DS version (for marketing wise for selling the Wii u). A lot of people aren't too excited for the Wii u version, but keep in mind we have over 6months worth of new updates just for it. I doubt there'll be much more to show off for the 3DS version anyways however I'm still excited for them both. ^^

I don't have a Wii U, but I can't wait to slaughter the competition with The Villager on the 3DS version. I'm ecstatic about the animal crossing villager being included. Have you seen the final smash? It is lovely =)
