I'm still pretty sad about Lucas. I hold onto a thread of hope that he might make a surprise reappearance (other than a trophy...), but not too much hope at this point.

I like Lucina, but I think they should have replaced Marth with her. I mean, how many sword-slingers do we have now?

The roster was finished early and the had spare time and Lucina was intended to be an alt to Marth, but they were nice and gave us three extra characters with different movesets. Dark Pit was a palette swap, Lucina was made to be an alt (so they just made her her own character instead) and it's pretty much a similar case with Dr Mario.

Ice Climbers wouldn't work because of the programming issues in the 3DS version.

This list is still incomplete, but it is kinda nice to see them all next to each other.
 
I can't wait for the release of this game. the demo's really got me hooked! I do gotta say I do regeret searching for spoilers since now I know all the secret characters they haven't announced.
 
This hasn't been posted yet, but it was posted almost 6 hours later than usual, so I was asleep.

Pic of the day. Now that the game is out in Japan, the Conquest mode will be available in online multiplayer in the Japanese version. This is what the title screen will look like for the overseas version. In this mode, the game aggregates global wins among specific teams during a limited time and determines the victor. If you choose a participating fighter from the With Anyone option, you'll automatically participate in Conquest. We'll be running Conquest in beta for a while.

Also, Conquest data where players seem to be losing on purpose will be removed from the calculations. And lastly, there's no point in working on this mode too much on your own, so don't overdo it?

So Japan is still showing off the 3DS version to remind us that we don't have it yet. Great.
