I think you're right. I really hope we get some more DLC stages along with mewtwo as well. I wouldn't mind Pokefloats returning!
 
Fourside, Mute City, N64 Dream Land, N64 Hyrule Castle, & Saffron City...

Those stages would be perfect for DLC.

Since the stage library needs more stages.

Can we have another Earthbound stage pls
Onett is terrible and has been in since Melee
How about New Pork City? (I think Nintendo wants us to forget Mother 3)
Or Magicant on Wii U (PLEASE)
Or Fourside. I loved Fourside. Especially the remixed music

But I second Hyrule Castle N64 and Saffron City.

I'd buy the DLC stages and compared to creating new characters it wouldn't take long. But I'm not going to demand any more from Sakurai, he went above and beyond with Smash 4 and deserves a long break (he deserves it) after Mewtwo is finished
 
From the stages mention in the above posts I would absolutely love Fountain of Dreams to return. Still one of my favourite stages yet it hasn't returned since Melee. New Pork City would be perfect for 8 player smash, Magicant (without the boss) would be nice and I'd like Hyrule Castle 64 back too. I'm not that bothered about the other N64 stages otherwise.

I really want Pirate Ship back as DLC! It's probably my favourite brawl stage and I thought it was definitely going to be one of the returning stages as well

I'm surprised that the Pirate Ship wasn't included, especially with the fact there's only three Zelda stages in the Wii U version

Idk but on the smash wiki I was checking out the stages and for the 3ds and wii u if a stage had ** it would be a DLC stage

Probably not though

I think it's safe to say that unless Nintendo officially makes an announcement, don't believe a smash wiki :P
From what they said in this one e3 announcement apparently even adding in mewtwo as a dlc takes forever so I highly doubt they'd have the capability to add a bunch of stages to the game. Cause if it takes that long to just add a character, imagine how long it'll take to add a full stage. I suppose we'll see though.

Erm, We can make our own stages pretty damn quickly. So really it's only the artstyle that would take them some time, and most stages are pretty static. Fountain of Dreams, as people have been asking, doesn't even have much in the way of background either. But if they bought that back I'd want it HD, and they haven't updated returning stages overmuch so far.

I would rather they make new stages instead of returning ones though. We have a ton of stages that returned already.

don't you think they would have done that before releasing the game?
and yes that's because the feature was added. i'm also referring to 3ds as i don't even own the wii u version, i doubt they'd add dlc for stages. seems they were even running out of space.

I assume you're referring to making a HD version of FoD? In which I'm certain if it returned it wouldn't be updated. Unless you mean adding brand new stages in as DLC in which I can only point to the Miiverse stage, which is/will be new.
But really I don't think they would have fully prepared much, if any, DLC before release. But that's just me chosing to believe their word about it.

And the 3DS version data file shown us months ago that there is a next button for the stage selection. I thought it'd be so you could design stages on the Wii U and import them to the 3DS version, but that's not the case, so either it's for future DLC or it's one of very very few competely unused data files in the game. ~ Seeing as most other unused 3DS files are used in the Wii U version.
(We also know there are atleast 4 songs unused so far in the Wii U version - 1 or 2 relate to the tournaments, another 2 presumably for the Miiverse stage.)

the 3DS version also had the audio files of the announcer saying 'Special Orders', 'Master Orders' and 'Crazy Orders' so maybe the 'next' page was left over but I don't know maybe DLC stages will happen.

But talking about the data files, the 3DS has 'Shop' and in the file it has 'A new challenger approaches!', obviously referring to Mewtwo. I saw an article somewhere about it but I can't find it at the minute. It seems pointless to have a section called 'Shop' with only one character and the Miiverse stage maybe but idk
