hi, with all this quarantine time ive been pondering hobbies, and skateboarding is something i've always wanted to do and forgotten about it, pushing it aside because i figured i wouldn't have the time to invest in learning. was just wondering if anyone skates and has any tips for beginners, and recommendations for what size board etc i should get!

I do not skate. However, I crash a lot like I do skate. Remember to wear your safety gear and be safe!!! ^-^

skateboarding is a hobby i started doing again!!
i actually have a longboard & i'm still a beginner and not too knowledgeable about the subject, but i def. recommend a longboard to start with. my friend that got a skateboard had a lot more trouble getting started than i did. i think they're more stable and the only time i fell was because i went too fast downhill and didn't know there was a sharp turn at the end xD
skateboards are much easier to carry though, so i guess depends on what you're looking for. i'm not interested in doing tricks and just want something relaxing to use around the park.

the one i'm looking at atm is a cruiserboard and it's quite chunky but i figured it would be more stable, i suppose that's probably one of the benefits of a longboard too ? i'm in the same boat and just want to ride around on it really!
