Six Fossils Daily Bug?

Hey! I just found out you're only supposed to supposed to get 4 fossils a day, but 6 spawn on my island and have since I unlocked the ability to have fossils appear. Im wondering if this an RNG thing or a bug or just if anyone else has encountered this

I had 5 Fossils show up a couple of times.

i’ve had six a few times! it’s not a common occurrence but it’s happened maybe 2 or 3 times so far?

it seems to be random. most of the time i find six fossils, sometimes i GUESS they spawn somewhere where i can't find them, so they stay there for a while until i accidentally stumble upon them.

It is 4-6. I've noticed if I skip a day digging up fossils, the next day is always 6.

I've defininely gotten 5-6 before, I just chalked it up to having missed some on previous days.

I've gotten 5 before. But since my first week I've gotten only 4 a day.

The only time I ever find more than 4 is if I miss one or two previous days.

ooo interesting! i've been getting 4 a day, but i remember getting 5 a couple times earlier on.

I've seen maybe six on the day I unlocked the ladder, but have seen 4 a day every day for nearly a month straight.
