Site supper laggy

The title pretty much says it all. I’d use this site much more, but it’s frustratingly slow. For example, when I hit the home button, it takes about 8-15 seconds to take me. Is this a problem anyone is experiencing, and, mainly, does anyone have any solutions? I’m on an iPhone 16 using the Google app, and all other Xenforo forums work just fine.

I've noticed this exact thing too. It seems like there are always thousands of guest users online at the bottom for some reason, which I'm guessing is why?

The "guest users" are mostly bots. They could be the problem, but I don't know.

Indeed, bots are one reason this issue can arise, and I have noticed it too. I've quoted Jeremy's explanation from August below, since there were similar lag issues at that time. I'll bring this up, though I don't have the technical expertise to say whether anything can be done at the moment. Thanks for mentioning it!

It's due to bots, likely AI scrapers. They have been downloading 1000+ pages a minute lately. Hopefully it loads a bit better today.

We were able to find and block a large group of bots that recently started scraping the forum, so hopefully that improves things a bit (until it happens again).

I have been having this happen alot recently and even today. I already clear my history.. it still keep happening.
