Sims Gender Update?

In the most recent sims update, new gender options have been added, basically now there isn't just "male" and "female" and you don't need to adopt gender restrictions if you don't want to. Hair, clothing etc. are now available for anyone to wear regardless of their gender. I think this is a great update and is much more inclusive! Opinions?

We've also made clothing, hair, jewelry, and other visual options available to all Sims. Over 700 pieces of content previously only available to either male or female Sims, have now been made available to all Sims regardless of initial gender selection. This includes content from The Sims 4 base game and previously launched packs.

You can now dress your Sims in any attire, give them short, long or styled hair, or customize them with some personal accessories to top off their look. Through the addition of new filters and sorts in Create A Sim, what you do with these new options is entirely up to you!"

Aww gosh I didn't know about this! It's great! Im glad some companies are finally realising and responding to try and fit the social changes

EA is one of the shttiest videogame companies, but at least they're LGBTQIA friendly.

OP should include that this is only for Sims that you create or for Townies you move into your family and customize.

The default game-generated Sims will still be cisgendered, men wear the previously-male clothes, women wear the previously-female clothes, game-gen males will use the toilet standing and cannot be pregnant.

I'm glad they did this, for two reasons. One is for the obvious, all-inclusive to all people thing. The other is that women have a lot of ****ing clothing options, way more than men. It's nice that all genders can wear everything now.

I think the update is great it makes it more realistic which is always a plus when it comes to the sims.

I didn't think how anyone identified would effect whether or not they would use the option. Your Sims don't need to reflect you.

I always just make one sim that is me XD and I kinda work my way from there

when i heard about it i was like Dood This Is The Best Thing Ever

i barely play the sims 4 and i only own the base game but this is seriously sOOOOo good. it opens up a whole new dimension to creating sims and lets people be way more creative. you don't have to make trans ppl if you don't want to, it's just great that you're able to give your sims hairstyles and clothing that's created for The Other Gender.

in previous sims games everything has been cis af unless you've modded the game. this is way more including, makes creating sims way more creative and interesting and i think it is a step in the right direction for the entire gaming industry. hopefully other games will take the hint B^)
