At one point I was obsessed with the Sims 3. I have every expansion pack except for Into the Future (because I doubt my old laptop can handle it), nearly every stuff pack, and a crap ton of DLC (from thesimsresource mostly because I like their stuff better & it's free). I'd play it every day for hours on end. I loved CAS & building houses the most, but who doesn't, lol. When I switched laptops & bought NL, I kind of abandoned it. I want to get back into it once I get tired of NL, but god knows when that'll be.

Usually deleting everything and doing a fresh re-install works--at least it did for me during the two times it happened. It's just annoying as hell to do, especially if you had a lot of content/packs.

Yeah, I play it. I'm going to do a Runaway Teen challenge soon.
If the launcher will start but it stays a black screen, try deleting the caches in your sims 3 folder. It always works for me. ^^
Nope, that didn't work.
