I've noticed that there are quite a few paths out there that have little pieces of colour, such as black, or white, and usually a square or triangle in one corner and the other parts of the set do the same in the other corners.

Why is this? I've never used a path like that because I don't know what they are supposed to mean and to me they just look strange.

I use paths that have all the directions, including the curves, but I just took another look at a candyland path made by Amykins and she has a full set with the curves, and also she has ones with the tiny candy-stripe in each corner.

Why? I don't understand. What am I missing out on as far as path possibilities?

They're inside corners! :)

I don't usually make them/use them for my paths because I don't want to take up more pattern spaces. :p

Oh, my goodness - now it makes perfect sense and I feel a bit silly. Thank you so much, Stacie! Mystery solved and now I know.

But of course now I probably won't use them either, unless I have only one or two types of paths I'm using and I have 3 mules. Come to think of it, I've cut out one path type in my Main Town, so maybe I'll use the candy inside corners after all. :D

Thanks again for answering my very newbie question. :)
