How do you trade villagers? Just wondering. Basically how do you get them to move into someone else's town and vice versa?

When a villager asks to move out they will tell you the date that they are going to move. On that date, they will put all their things in boxes. You can invite someone over and they can talk to the villager and ask them to move in. So if you're trading a villager, the person who wants your villager comes to your town comes over and asks that villager to move in and then you go to their town and ask their villager to move in!

This probably shouldn't be in this forum section, but here's the link to the section you want :): http://www.belltreeforums.com/forumdisplay.php?85-Villager-Trading-Plazal

^Better answer, I'm too tired XD

On the day before a villager moves out (they tell you the date when they ask you to move), they'll stay at home all day. If you go inside their houses, the furniture is all packed up into boxes and they'll tell you their packing. We say a villager is in boxes when this happens.

When a villager is in boxes, you can invite someone to talk to the villager. If they have a free spot in their town, they'll get an option to invite that villager to move to their town.

You can adopt a villager you talk to a villager in boxes in another town if you have 9 or fewer villagers.
