Get ready for a pretty long entry.
I love my town. I've had three towns, and my second was my favorite. But, my town right now is lacking the spark that my second town did. I don't feel as excited to play as I did then. I don't know why...

I want to reset. I am debating it so badly. I have so much in my town now, all the shops, lots of bells, two of my dreamies, and more. I don't wanna give that up.

On the flip side, I wanna reset. Learning from my past mistakes, learning to decorate better. A chance to rebuild a great town, and better layout. A chance to meet new animal villagers. My inspiration to play will become greater, and not think of the town now as a chore.

Pros: Learning from mistakes.
Decorating better.
Better layout.
New villagers.
Spark renewed.

Cons:
Have so much.
Obtained lots of dreamies, money, shops.
Letting go of a town I worked hard on.

If you have reset, what put you over the top and had you decide to do it? Help me, please.

you could always buy another copy! or you could just redesign your town. but if you want to reset, you could give someone you trust your bells and some items you want to keep, then when you reset you could pick them up from them. but i do think resetting/starting a new town keeps the excitement alive, but you could very easily regret it.

I cannot afford to get a second copy of ACNL, so idk if you have a different situation, but that's me. I had the Emporium when I reset just this past June 1st. I didn't have a real firm list of dreamies (still working on mine now), but I did have some villagers that I really liked (like Merengue, and Rudy, and Papi a LOT). But I chose to reset because it was starting to get boring for me.

I had a friend hold my gold tools and some other stuff, and sold off/gave away all my villagers. Now, I'm pretty happy, I've decided on a kind of "town theme," and I wanna get serious with designing my town and making it cool, and getting my dreamies, etc. etc.

You COULD get someone to hold the items you're REALLY attached to, find some people (or someone) to hold your dreamies, etc. Yeah, you won't have all your big shops, but hey, that's kind of a pro of its own because then you get to really build your town up again. :)

But that's just my opinion. Hope I helped, maybe.
