Should I worry about switching to a new 3ds?

Would my animal-crossing save data be transferred to a new 3ds. Note my copy is the old version of newleaf with the welcome amiibo being downloaded on my 3ds. Would this be a issue?

Everything should be fine. When you start up your new 3DS , you have the option to transfer everything over from the old one.
Also, the AC save data is on the game itself.
Plus you can back up saves from the 3DS to a computer.

I can say for sure it's ok.

I'm on a temporary 3ds at the moment, as my other one packed it in and it was still under warranty.

The company sent me a loaner, until my new one is in stock, and they picked up my broken one and are doing a system transfer, so my Nintendo ID, my Wifi settings, store downloads, friend list etc, will be on my new 3ds. ^_^

Thanks for the feedback guys!

My 3DS is 7 years old and has been in a completely horrific state lately. (The hinge has completely broken off) So I'm picking up a cheap second hand 2DS :)

You'll be fine. I've been using multiple 3DS to play New Leaf over the years. It's either you do a system transfer if you bought it off from eShop then the save file will transfer or just put the cartridge on the 2DS. You need to redownload the WA update though (if using a physical copy) and probably do a system transfer if you want to transfer your files from previous to current unit.

Okay I thought I'd update you guys, unfortunately I couldn't do a system transfer because i forgot the password and email of my 7 year old account. (I didn't loose anything important)

So I updated animal crossing on the new 2DS and its fine. However I received the message: Extra data could not be found so spotpass is currently unusable. Extra data will now be recreated.

I didn't use the spot pass feature much, but I know that a message with a red border is not good. :S

That's normal. You just have to go to Digby again to activate the Happy Home Showcase.

I recently bought a New 3DS and transfered(w/my digital copy of AC:NL) and it worked fine. All my stuff is in my game. Though I did a dumb and opted to save $50 and got a refirbushed one. >_< BIG mistake! I can't visit others/they visit me. I'm not posting for help suggestions, I've done it all. Just replying to a thread. But DON'T do refurbished.

I got my new 3ds today, and all is well.
They did a system transfer and I didn't lose anything. ^_^

The parental controls must've been set to "Restricted" by default so all you have to do is go to system settings then parental controls then type in your password and choose the option "Do not restrict".

I've been on a refurbished for almost two weeks waiting for my new 3ds, which I now have, but I had no problems visiting people, and vice versa.
