If you really need to TT then do it, I don't see the problem. If you don't do it often, you don't need to feel bad. I don't like TTing in my main town but I TT a lot in my other town, different ways of playing but if you just TT a bit no huge consequence.
I don't have fave villagers lol

No.. I do that for villagers only(and cycle in my 2nd)... But if it's like for an event or something I personally think that's just cheating or something.. I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't tting someone out for a dreamie or cycling...

Just do it cautiously. You'll be fine. Get reckless, lose villagers.

I've been playing Animal Crossing since I was five, ALWAYS time traveled, and nothing bad ever happened! I still TT now, it's funner for me because I don't get bored this way! xD The only bad thing I suppose is some of your villagers will move, but if you don't mind, then just TT. I think it's worth it! (;

There are some bad sides to TTing, like villagers moving in/out, turnips rotting, etc. But I'm sure if you need to you need to. It is your town. d:
if u want to then go for it!! just make sure to be careful and only tt one day at a time to make sure nobody moves. i only ever tt up to like 5 days in advance, i'm too scared to go any further and it kind of ruins the experience going really far forward.

TT whenever you want. I typically don't TT just cause I don't play enough every day to need to, but if you want to TT, then go ahead. Make sure you have Beautiful Town in place to keep away the weeds.
It your choice. I time traveled in my last town, but it just took the fun out of it for me. I like patiently waiting for the next day to come and surprise me, which is why I also stopped plot resetting. It just isn't for me. Like most people are saying, though, it's your game. Make the choice...live or die.

Sometimes I accidentally loose a villager if I don't run around town checking up on them but that's not really a tting problem but my own fault.
But I don't think a poll will help you with this, it's your choice. Just be safe about it! c:
