So I finally reset my town after another awesome Mayor agreed to hold my worldly goods!

It took me about 15 game resets to get a map that I was semi happy with and even then to be honest I was so tired of resetting I just went with the best of that group. It actually is a pretty terrible layout so here I am for my fellow mayors opinion!

One thing is that I am scared to reset again and it take another 15 tries to find something decent. I also feel like Ive had a ton of luck since I picked this layout.

In my first game day I:
Found my very first ever perfect fruit on one of my trees (Never even seen one in person)Peach*
Caught a Raja butterfly which I have never seen in my old town which was like 3 years old?
Saw and bought a regal armoire which I had never seen sold before which I needed

so Are these like omens that I should stick with this town?!

Here's the layout in question. You can also see the villager list in one which is not spectacular tbh

honestly the river seems a little annoying to me so like if it were me I'd probably reset ;v; it's your decision though!

yeah the river and set up of the retail/ plaza would bother me too much. Those aren't very strong omens, I've caught loads of raja butterflies, your town ALWAYS starts with a perfect fruit on one of the trees, and you can get any orderable furniture for cheap on these forums. So if you have any qualms with your map, I recommend finding a better map now rather than later...

say what??? Ive never seen one!

All your points are very good and I could send the armoire somewhere or drop it off.

i dislike the south ramp to the beach and the town hall placement annoys me greatly, if it was my town i'd try for a different map but thats bc i really like south facing waterfalls the best.

Fr me il restart you can always find the perfect fruit around
As long as the first tree it's peach, cherry, apple, pear, orange a perfect fruit will appear
Beside that layout look horrible
I don't a mind villagers because they get replaced
And the butterfly whatever just go find it in the same hour and there we go

If it was me I would probably reset. The river takes up a lot of room, which could make landscaping in the future tricky. However, if you prefer a challenge or want to experiment on some interesting layouts, then I wouldn't worry about the river. Another thing that would bother me is the location of Retail. It's a bit awkwardly placed in my opinion. It's crammed next to the plaza and your house, not leaving a lot of room for decorating. If you want to do a very elaborate themed town with huge designs, then that may be a problem later on. If not, then you probably won't have to worry too much. Honestly, I think you should play a few days before doing anything rash like starting over. It might start to grow on you. But if the layout is still bugging you, then you should probably reset before you get too invested in your town. By the way, every town starts off with one perfect fruit. I hope this helps! And good luck with your town!

Between the long river, 3 ponds, and the plaza and Re-Tail being off to the side, I'd say adios to Roscoe, Jeramiah, Annalise, Penelope, Leonardo, and Tex.

I honestly like it, the only thing that would bug me a little is the river, if the river was a little straighter it would basically be my dream map.

Eh, I personally think you could find a better map. You should reset again, before you invest more time into this town!
