Should I start over?

So I'm debating whether I should start over on ACNL or not. Cause I mean, I want to find a good town and shtuff, but I also don't want to lose half my dreamies. (Not any of my items because I know a friend who will help me :>) What do you guys think? :>​

If it's the aesthetic if your town that you don't like, I would reccommend chopping down everything, digging up all the bushes, removing all PWP'S, and move all your flowers to the beach, and re-design it the way you want it. Then if you still don't like it, then you could start again

It's the layout I don't fancy much anymore. I mean, I thought it would be a good idea at first, but now it seems really awkward to me.

well what do you want to do with your town design-wise? if you think your layout will get in the way of any design plans you have, then start over. yeah, getting your dreamies back will be a pain, but it's possible.


but if you think you can design the way you want with the current layout you have, then do it. do what makes you happy.

I think my layout might get in the way, I thought it would be good, for landscaping purposes, but the villagers get in the way and I need a town that will make it almost impossible. :<

if thats the case, then you should restart..theres no poin in having a town you cant do anything with

but the decision is entirely up to you

In my opinion, i wouldn't reset and try to get your other dreamies. Maybe re-landscape your town? I was uncomfortable with my town at first, but then it grew on me. But like the others said, it's entirely up to you.

I think you should reset. You can have someone trusted to hold your dreamies or if you have another copy of acnl you can spare

May I ask what you are looking for? What are your criterias? I am gonna reset aswell but i am not 100% sure what I should be looking for (I want something easiest possible to landscape)

With amiibo cards being a thing now, dreamies don't seem to be much of an issue. I was hesitating to restart as well, but knowing it'll be easier to get all my villagers back I'm not as worried. I have a town I'm really unhappy with, so I transferred all my good stuff to another town and plan on giving away most of my bells, then restarting. It's not worth it if you're unhappy.
