i want to restart my town so bad.. the only thing that keeps me from doing it is that i have to do so much work on getting pwp suggestions and all the stores back ;_;

i dont know, is it worth the work or shold i just . not restart

The pwp and stores are fairly easy to get back except maybe the emporium since Gracie shows up randomly. You'll lose progress on your badges and catalog but if you aren't worried about those then just consider the other 2.

Well, I can offer a middle ground for what you're wanting. What if you make a new character to live in the same town and then delete the current character. Then, you would keep your town and museum progress, but your character's catalog and book of jokes, bugs, etc. would be completely unfinished and would allow you to start over on those aspects.

i took forever getting the pwps xD even with the diving trick

my problem isnt my character, but its my town layout basically xD and how 2 of my dreamies moved out because i didnt pay attention\went on a hiatus -_-

well, your layout can't be changed, so if that's a main thing that's bugging you then restarting is the only way to change it. it really sucks having to wait for stores & pwps, but if it's worth it to you to have a better layout then go for it! remember that in the end it's just a game, so it's not worth any stress :)

Well, I'd try to sell as many of your items for tbt before you reset it as you can so that you can trade that for IGB or the items you want after you reset and get your town sorted out to what you want.

I'm a big supporter of resetting when you're unhappy. If you're not happy in your town, what's the point? I reset a town I spent ages on a few months ago and haven't regretted it once, because I adore the new town!

If you enjoy playing the game, and these are preventing you from playing, then by all means! Do what you need to do so you can enjoy the game.

it took me a while to actually appreciate my layout (i had the same problem, i hated the small things about it and all the achievements i made held me back) but if you think that resetting is the only way for you to appreciate your town; in all up for it! just have someone hold your stuff for you so you don't loose everything.

I had the same issue. I hates where the river was, it was my first time playing animal crossing, so i didnt know and picked the one that looked cool, and after a while i hated it because i didnt have a whole lot of room because of the way the river was. So i recently reset with a river that goes horizontal across the town, splitting it into top part and bottom part. I LOVE that i have more space now, i have a coue empty spaces i need to find something to fill it with. But i still hate that i have to work to get those pwp suggestions back! Stors dont matter that much, buy things and work for it, but getting suggestions is hard! On the plus side though, i have gotten a few new pwp suggestions i never got before. I stoppd playing on my old town cause i hated the layout and didnt know what to do with it, but im soo happy with this layout.

In the end ispts your decision, but kust wanted to tell u my experience with resetting mine.

hm, where do you even search for people to help you move stuff? I have so much crap XD

I have always felt like resetting my town, but all the things I've worked for would be lost. So it's really your choice, just be happy with your new town and don't regret any of your choices. :)

If your layout is what you're unhappy with, i'd say restart. I've noticed that when i'm unhappy with my layout, i'll continue to be unhappy with it until I eventually delete the town and i'll just nitpick. You should keep in mind though, that no town is perfect and no matter what each town is going to have its flaws. I recommend taking some time away to think about whether or not you really want to reset your town. I remember wanting to reset my current town but after thinking about it, I realised I didn't really want to and was just thinking irrationally about it. As for dreamies, that's kind of a hard one because for me I don't like to time travel, so I think it'd be hard to cycle 16 out if you aren't prepared to do so. Maybe there's some other villagers that you'd like to have in town but you couldn't that you could replace them with? overall it's your town and I say you can reset it if you really really want to if it'll make you happy. :) Good luck!

Go to the train station and post there that u need someone to hold your stuff while u reset. I would love to help, but im currently having internet issues. Comcast said its fixed, but its the second time i have had them out and would hate for my internet to go out and somehow loose all your stuff!

^ thanks c:

yeah its mostly the layout but also my number one favorite villager left and another one too xD i dont want to cycle 16 out so . i think ill restart, i've thought about this for a long time now ;n;

xd i take it far too serious, its just a game wow

I would hate to restart, but I know lots of people who do it often and are always glad. It really seems to be a personality issue. You might just try looking at your current layout on paper. Maybe seeing it as a blank slate instead of the way you see it every day would help. Try posting a picture of your layout and asking people for suggestions for PWP and bridge placement ideas. But if that doesn't work, I'm guessing you would be happier resetting. Choose carefully if you ask someone to hold your items, and good luck! The whole point is to have fun playing:)

ive thought about restarting my game too simply because the rocks are in key place to mess with my path its pretty irritating not to mention i dont like my perfect fruit its oranges i like the apples far better looking than oranges the only reason i didnt restart the same day was because one of my villagers was ankha but later in the game she left and i had put too much effort in my town and in my badges plus i have most my dreamies now so i see it as a huge set back if i resset

Is there anyway you can maybe change how everything is place iven the public works you can demolish and re build(like bridges and such)
