Should I restart my town?

I was thinking about restarting my town to get a better layout but I was thinking that I would lose all my hybrids and my paths but I could always make/buy more.

What do you guys think?

I think you should keep at it with your town! Layout is always salvageable, and any type of it can be turned into something stunning! But if you restart, you could ask someone to hold your hybrids for you!

You could ask someone to hold your hybrids by going to their town and placing them somewhere private, items too. Not sure about the paths, though. I reset too, I was glad. I had a lot of stiff too, but if you don't like your layout, go for it. Layout always comes first.

You could always get a friend to place hold your stuff, when I came back after a year long hiatus I restarted because everything (including my map) was absolutely horrific.

I didn't put enough time in my town as I should have, but maybe I'll think of having someone hold on to them

True, and I was thinking of also getting some dream villagers as well since my town right now doesn't really have any of my dreamies

I was in the same boat not too long ago, and tbh restarting was the best decision I made. Restarting can be scary, but if you find yourself no longer playing the game or not playing as much, then it's time for a change. ^.^ I transferred most of my hybrids, all of my money and all of my items. Almost got all the dreamies I needed and I'm absolutely now in love with the new town map.
One advice I'd give though is to use this opportunity to cycle out villagers to make some money(if you need it for future dreamies, for your new town). That's what I did for a bit ^_^.

Whenever someone asks this, my answer is always yes. You can have someone hold your items for you, and for villagers you see auctions all the time on here. Also you can always re-do the paths on a long weekend and enjoy your new layout. Layout makes a huge difference and so I think putting that time and effort into it will make you enjoy ACNL better in the long run and it might inspire you to make your town the best it can, and sometimes when you restart, it just makes you jump to get into your town each day.

Have someone hold your items and reset. If you don't like your layout the stuff you want can be saved in another town, no problem.

I had this a while ago eventually bit the bullet and reset and felt great after it, worked on getting my frogs then decided I hated my new layout, but after lots of advise I completely cut down everything and now feel much better about it, still working on replanting all the trees though... So maybe try relandscaping and then if your still not happy reset :) .

If you're not happy, I say reset! Give your important stuff to a friend and go for it. :)

I've restarted several times because I always settled on a layout rather than chose it gladly. This time I restarted New Leaf about 20 times until I found a map I'm truly happy with. Happy to say I got a great river and tons of space for PWPs!
