i have almost all my dreamies but i am growing unhappy with my town and would like to start over

yet, i am almost done the museum and have the t&t emporium and lots of hybrids, furniture, and bells i would have to move and transfer.

but, i didn't plot reset for a lot of my villagers and i hate how close beau's house is to my campsite.

i am very bad at making decisions and do not know what to do!

I'd say no, you can always work with your town and just re-landscape and re path!

I was in a similar situation a while ago, and after making all the arrangements to have villagers held, items held, saving all my designs, etc... I walked in my house to to pick up items that someone was gonna come over and hold for me, and I thought "I've worked so hard on this. I don't want to do this all over again, I've come so far. I'd have to wait for PWPs again, fill the museum again, wait for good house items, all that... No way jose".

I was that close to resetting and I didn't, and I'm SO happy I didn't.

In the end I decided to let go of the villagers who's house placements I didn't like (I'm still doing it), look for a whole new set of villagers without considering them my dreamies and while still being open to other villagers if I stumbled upon them.
I also decided to redesign all my paths, change the feeling of my town a bit and re-do my layout.
I'm having so much fun now giving my town a fresh start without starting from scratch. I get to do the best of both worlds.

Take your time, think it through. I would suggest trying to rework your town first. Then if really it's no fun and you're sick of it, consider resetting.

Two months ago, I was on the same boat as you. I was very unhappy with my town and had T&T Emporium and many of my dreamies. Finally, on April 12th, I did it. I recreated the town. I promised myself that I would find the very best town. And three days later, I did. Now I'm happy in my new town. If you are truly not happy with your town, do it, restart! There are many people here that will hold onto your furniture, clothing, and sometimes villagers!

I restarted my town because I wanted to change the gender of my mayor and I was slowly growing to hate my town. With my new map and villagers, I'm enjoying the game a lot more. I've also stopped having dreamies. Now keeping villagers I like until I get tired of them. For me, a new start was what I needed to love the game again. However, you can always move your dreamies out and get them back later in a better spot, even if it would take a long time. You sound generally happy with your town other than the villager spots, so I would say keep your town.

It really is a 50 50 decision. If you know it's going to bug you to death later down the road it would be best to restart now and it get it over with. If you think you can work with it and change things to your liking, then keep it. It depends on how severe your situation is.

^This. It has been about 7 days I think since I reset, but I wouldnt change a thing. I am still working on transferring but I am MUCH happier now than I ever was in my other town ;w;

Really think it through.. if it's just an itch to reset then let it pass. Two months ago I had the urge to reset because I wanted a fresh start and was getting bored and I regret it massively. I miss that town so much, I literally cried.
