Hi Guys.I am currently saving up some medals for a Club Tortimer membership. But at the same time,im having thoughts about it.I've saw many people on this fourm (and ACC) about their bad experience on Club Tortimer.I also heard there are a large amonut of mean people on their. That sounds really terrible.Should i join Club Tortimer or no?

If you are wanting to play with others, go for it.
I only got the membership for the rare items you can only get from Club Tortimer. So I would island-hop.
I only had to flip the wi-fi switch once.
If you really only want it for the rare items, buy them off the Re-tail boards.
Don't go to the club just to catch beetles/sharks, a jerk could be there and hold you hotage or flip the wi-fi switch to send you home with nothing.

It's a decision of whether you want to take your chances with finding annoying people whilst putting your money on getting CT-exclusive unorderables, like the box of chocolates or the sea globe. If you don't want to spend millions on buying CT items from other people and would rather get them straight off the island for a couple medals, you'll have to deal with whoever's on that island with you. They aren't always pleasant. I'm sure you've read horrific stories about people's misadventures there, right?

People usually talk about the bad, and not the good. If something was working just fine, we wouldn't discuss it, correct?

I suppose there's always the risk that you'll run into someone nasty - personally, I haven't done that before. I've also had a few nice conversations with people from all over the world, which is cool.

The main bonus is the island-exclusive items that you will be able to get with Club Tortimer. And you get to play with people from all over the world and have emoticon conversations!

Anyways, I heard from someone else that any items you put in the box stay in your possession, even if the Wi-Fi switch gets flipped. I've never had to test that theory before, but that's something to remember if you do come across some beetles or sharks.

This.

tbh I've never had a problem on club tortimer, and if anyone's bugging you then just flip the wi-fi switch, I met some of my new leaf friends there!

I only got trolled once but I was not fishing or bug catching or buying stuff from the shop the guy set a tour and didn't go on it so he tried to hold me hostage and make me give him 50k so I gave it to him then cut the wifi before it saved if you ever see someone with a pokemone shirt and a blue fodoara its him probably

CT is amazing. Trolls should be either countertrolled or just the wireless switch, I prefer the former. Yes, there are creepy people, but you can meet some very nice people on there.

I've never really had a bad experience on the island, in fact I've actually met some lovely people there, some of whom became great AC friends and who I regularly trade regional items with. It's well worth getting for the exclusive items available, don't let a few bad apples put you off :).
