Should I pick up ACNL again?

Here's the story:I lost my ACNL game card/cartridge, and that had ALL of my town's save data on it. It was a pretty developed save file, but I lost it now :( I haven't played in 1.5 - 2 years, and thought maybe playing again would be refreshing. I've been so pumped for the New Horizons release, but we have quite a bit of way to go. Which means I have quite a bit of time to hash out my new ACNL save file.

So what do you think?
(A.) It's fine, and I'll have fun OR (B.) It might make playing New Horizons less fun

Tell me your thoughts?

Absolutely you should! It's always hard restarting a game file when you lose so much progress (I'm a Sims player myself so when the file bugs and I have to restart its sooo frustrating), but you haven't played in nearly 2 years so I feel it would be quite fresh to you now. Definitely give it another whirl! It will help pass the time until New Horizons comes out!

Take care~

I deleted my town well over a year and a half ago, and I did regret it, but honestly, if I still had the game and my 3ds xl, I couldn't start again.

Just making my natural dirt paths all over again would be a mammoth job, only to be destroyed by snow each in game winter.

It might be fun for you though, it depends if you intend on getting NH, and how much time you have to spare. :)

While we are waiting for NH, I thank it would be a great time to play <3333

Option A -- If you can make time for it and enjoy it, seems like a fine way to go!
I do not see how it would make New Horizons less fun...? Maybe I am missing something in translation.
You could always stop playing New Leaf if it becomes too much to maintain once New Horizons is out.
There are a few measures you can do to help keep your town as it was since you last played.

Option A! You should absolutely give NL another shot! It will not only give you something to do well waiting for NH, but it'll get you back into the whole Animal Crossing groove. :D

Yes! I think it's definitely worth it! I started my original game file in 2015 and then in 2017 I restarted (oof regret that) but still managed to (almost) make it back to where I originally was in my other file. The game's still as fun as it was before and the best part is that everything in the Re-Tail and Villager Trading Plaza are a lot cheaper (and even free) now because the game is very dated now lol.

MAN I still remember paying like 120 TBT for Molly one time HAHA now I got her for free! It's crazy how times have changed. Also the Welcome Amiibo update has so much stuff in it. Collecting dreamies is fun. Landscaping is fun. Visiting new people and letting them come over is fun (even though my Wi-Fi is too unstable to host ASDFGHJH ONE DAY I'LL GET THAT FIXED I SWEAR). And I can go on and on forever!

Guess the only sucky part is when you stop playing and everything goes to pot lol villagers move out and it's just ugh why. I still wished they didn't move out while you're offline. Stresses me out sometimes.

But in conclusion, I definitely think you should give it another go! :D

I recently restarted and I am loving it.
I have a lot of free-time on my hand and I have been falling in love with the game all over again. I'm not sure if I will continue with my ACNL town when NH comes out, but that's to be decided in the moment. As for now I would say go for it, It really is a great game imo.
